Hey guys, do you think little mix's "between us" can go #1?

I doubt it to be honest.

Probably not when it's up against Abba's second week and also Kylie and Taylor. I'd expect maybe Taylor #2, LM #3, Kylie #4? Not sure if Silk Sonic might surprise us too.

Voyage is midweek 1 with 118 000. Ed Sheeran is no.2 with just under 20 000....

Rod Stewart will certainly be up the top somewhere too

I'm certain Rod will be top 3 and a contender for #1, people write him off on this forum but his last album was a big seller.

Yes but it was a GH and Christmas.

ABBA already sold 165k. Now I started to believe that Adele will not beat it.

I wouldn’t go that far just yet, but would be a great achievement if they did. Looking like buzzjack majority might actually get this prediction right :D

She'll easily beat it. Maybe 300k?

Abba should easily clear 200k. Question is will it remain the biggest first week sale of the year? Well Adele is the only likely challenger so we’ll see but I’d put my money on Abba.

Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest if Adele beats it in one day.

I know sales are down across the board, but she doesn't work in line with any normal trends there. I just wouldn't be shocked at all if she pulled a 200k first day and then added another 100k across the week.

^Agree, think people are underestimating Adele

I’m fully expecting Adele to be ahead of ABBA after a day.

ABBA being ahead of Ed for the week was a slight shock but sales wise it’s more I overestimated Ed rather than I underestimated ABBA.

I’m so happy we’re getting high paid for sales again though. Kinda funny to get 3 big sellers in a short space of time but I am here for it!

Same here, I’m interested to see how Ed’s and Abbas sales hold up over the next 8 weeks over Xmas. Adele should easily enough be able to maintain as it’ll be right in that period by the time it comes out!

I would be extremely surprised if Adele doesn't beat ABBA's sales still. Glad to see that ABBA are coming through so strongly though. Outside of them and Adele we're probably not going to have many chances for albums to have 200k+ openings in the near future, if even Ed fell way short of that.

It seems that a lot of ABBA's missing sales were added yesterday (there is surely no way they could have sold 25k on Saturday/Sunday combined and then another ~50k on Monday alone) but that does still indicate their daily new sales are healthier than I was assuming. I guess if it is true that this album is being displayed more prominently than Ed's was in supermarkets that can't be hurting.

Delighted to see Abba heading for over 200k this week. A magnificent achievement for their first new album in 40 years.

I think people are really over estimating Adele’s first week sales but we’ll see. She will sell more than Sheeran but don’t think she’ll do as well as Abba (well I hope not)! The market has considerably changed since her last album release and while I’m sure it will do well, I doubt it will come anywhere close to the dizzy heights of her last album sales or the previous album. Look at how much Ed Sheeran’s album sales have dropped off this week and don’t think anybody expected that and he’s had two successful singles out before his album.
