November 14, 20213 yr I think it's gonna be an interesting fight between Dave and Sam Fender for best male and best album but they should give it to Sam Fender we haven't heard Adele's album so hard to tell but sure she'll get best female minimum International female seems very competitive with Taylor, Olivia Rodrigo, Billie Eilish, very biased but hopefully they nominate Lana too can't see L Mix nominated or performing, hope it's all little indie artists for best band Honestly don't really like Dave's kind of music, but looking impartially I think his album is probably the far more innovative and talented work of the two.

November 15, 20213 yr I wouldn't be surprised to see Adele equal Robbies record of 13 (solo) Awards Edited November 15, 20213 yr by Adamski94
November 16, 20213 yr Wouldn’t Adele have to win like 5 awards in one night to equal Robbie. Given they barely have any awards to hand out these days, that’s a tall order to win the most ever at the brits. Incidentally both Adele and Blur do hold the record for the most won in a night, four.
November 16, 20213 yr She could only win maximum four I think, pending any new categories, and even that would be including a global icon/outstanding achievement win...! British Single / Album / Female are the others.
November 17, 20213 yr Yeah I was thinking she’d have to win, single, album, best female and then the global icon if that’s becoming a yearly thing and that’s still only 4. It’s my only gripe with the Brits as It is my favourite awards show, but there’s just so little awards wise, it’s a bit disappointing the different generes and international Artists aren’t represented very well. November 18, 20213 yr Adele is currently on 9 awards and would be the odds on favourite for the Best Female and Best Album, The best Song is always a weird one as there has been a few surprises of the last decade or so but she could win the Global award and if they bring in the Brits Icon Award then she would be favourite for that? As Taylor Swift won this year and she has been around a similar amount of time as Adele
November 21, 20213 yr Coldplay for Best British Group Adele for Best British Female Solo Artist & British Album of the Year Ed Sheeran for Best British Male Artist
November 21, 20213 yr I think Sam Fender might be a good shout for best British male actually He deserves it but it would be unusual for the Brits to be that progressive.
November 21, 20213 yr Would Glass Animals “Heat Waves” be eligible for best single? If so could be quite a contender assuming they snub Ed again. Doubt they’ll give Adele best single somehow too.
November 21, 20213 yr I wouldn't be surprised to see Cold Heart take best single seeing as its been a smash around the world and they would love to have someone as high profile as Elton attend Edited November 21, 20213 yr by Adamski94
November 22, 20213 yr Author I wouldn't be surprised to see Cold Heart take best single seeing as its been a smash around the world and they would love to have someone as high profile as Elton attend That's a good point actually. But in all fairness, Bad Habits deserves it. 11 weeks at number 1, and hasn't left top 10 yet.
November 22, 20213 yr It's been confirmed that they've dropped the Gender categories for 2022 and added four genre awards: https://www.musicweek.com/media/read/brit-a...-line-up/084707 Full category list is: Artist of the Year sponsored by YouTube Music Group of the Year BRITs Rising Star supported by BBC Radio 1 Best New Artist Song of the Year with Mastercard Mastercard Album of the Year International Artist of the Year International Group of the Year Alternative/Rock Act Pop/R&B Act Dance Act Hip Hop/Rap/Grime Act Mo Gilligan will be hosting the awards. I think that's quite a decent booking - Jack Whitehall presenting it was getting a bit stale tbh. Edited November 22, 20213 yr by Mangø
November 22, 20213 yr I’m pleased that there’s genre categories included now they’ve scrapped the gender ones. Is Rising Star the new critics choice? And New artist the best artist who first released in the last release period (is that right)
November 22, 20213 yr I’m pleased that there’s genre categories included now they’ve scrapped the gender ones. Is Rising Star the new critics choice? And New artist the best artist who first released in the last release period (is that right) I’m glad also and they appear to be fan voted which is interesting. Yeah I’m pretty sure your right about Rising Star and New Artist.
November 22, 20213 yr I’m glad they’ve brought back the genres, I’ve been saying for a while I thought they should. Although a little perplexed as to why pop and RnB have been put together. I think they should be separate tbh. Not sure what to make of the removal of the gender awards. I guess in a way the music and the artist are what should be awarded and that’s what’s happening here. I do wish the international category had a song/album part to it.
