Jesy started to discuss Leigh talking to her before Nicki interrupted so we never got to hear the full thing. I don’t think Jesy is educated enough on the topic to actually understand and probably took it as her friends attacking her appearance, I really hope Jesy takes some time to educate herself. She probably thought she was being ganged up on when it wasn’t the case and her own insecurities made her worse. I do believe it’s complex and Jesy looks how she does because of her own issues with her appearance and she thinks a tan or whatever makes her look better and not to purposely look black or racially ambiguous, I think things run deeper routes into her mental health and there is overlap.
