It's still 15K difference from Golden.

 

Very interesting how Kylie Christmas, Golden, SBIT and Disco are all quite similar, despite the changing markets and physical formats etc.

 

If KOL manages some time on the R2 playlist soon it’ll help the album so much as would a performance with Jesse/ Olly and of course Gloria. I find it very strange there’s nothing big in the pipeline and also that the 2CD isn’t pushed much more to casuals. Magic mashed with one of the GLE duet songs would go down great.

Total sales will be close between disco and golden. I suspect disco is unlikely to overtake golden unless there is more promo and the album rebounds. I do prefer disco to golden but golden seemed to have a longer shelf life and was out pre-covid. If disco had come out this year, I suspect it may have sold more but wouldn’t have reached no1 as album sales seem higher this year.

Agree with this - it feels like a bit of a half arsed release despite the great formats, new songs etc., they seem to have let it down at the final hurdle with no plans (that we know of) to attempt to extend its chart life past 1 week.

I think lot of it is to get some coin and also build up streaming levels pre Kylie Xmas/Santa Baby increases.

 

Lets see what happens with the Gloria track. Release pre Xmas and hope it radio playlisted ready for when Xmas songs decline ?

I’ve listened to all the extended mixes now. They are mostly really good. There is also an extended mix on utube for hey lonely, kiss of life and can’t stop writing songs about you. Does anybody know if these extended versions are official? They sound official.

Extended Mixes been on preorder for 10th Dec for some reason. Not distribution purposes I doubt.

 

BMG looking to add steaming every 4-6 weeks to build steaming. Lets see.

She was in Cyprus this week doing a private gig…..guess that’s more lucrative than trying to sell physicals.

 

I was in HMV VAULTS Birmingham earlier. No customers in a vast retail space. Plenty of GLE formats and incredible volumes of Adele.

Ah, it’s Years & Years that are headlining, but still great to see Kylie making an appearance on what will be huge promo!

The fireworks are always live obviously that's why it cuts away to all that then it goes back to the recording
