Hard to believe disco is almost 4 years old, it feels newer than that, I think overall the songs have held up very well and I still enjoy most of the album, I think I've got more re play value than I do from golden.

Disco almost feels like a different lifetime ago for me, it was during the pandemic and we've had a rejuvenation with 'Padam' since.

I do like this album but it's not held up as well over time for me. I feel like most of the songs could be produced a bit better.

A huge rejuvention has come since Disco and also a better album with Tension but Disco remains a great album.

Agree - it wasn’t a favourite for me when it was released and I’ve hardly returned to it but I loved getting whipped up in the chart frenzy when it was released and was just what was needed in the lockdowns etc.,

The debut chart week was great and equally exciting and nervous but it worked out well.

The album was so uplifting and came at a time when things in the world were gloomy due to covid, il always relate the album to covid but also great songs and brought excitement that we needed.

^ An album called Disco deserved their time in a tour environment!!!
Ya it did lose out that way but hopefully when she does tour the album gets represented but for an album that wasn't toured its done well for her plus it had no major hit, its a shame really that apart from kylie Christmas it's her only studio album not to yield a top 40 single.

Totally - can only imagine how epic/joyous a ‘Disco’ tour would’ve been.

Would you not consider Santa baby as the top 40 from KC

Not really until you said it but now that you did it does leave disco the only album not to have a top 40 single on it which feels undeserved.

Although only chart fans would probably notice/care about such a thing, it is a shame that Kylie wasn't able to continue the streak of having at least one top 40 from each album. Also a curious one considering that it's her biggest selling BMG-released studio album! It deserved a Top 40 hit to its name.

The Disco era was a bit of a struggle in the singles chart overall, remembering that Say Something initially only reached #82 in July, and then it didn't make a return to the Top 100 until its 7" vinyl release in November/the release week of Disco (helping it peak at #56). Duetting with Dua Lipa should have been a moment but only #95. :drama: Then not even bothering the Top 100 with A Second to Midnight even though it was the first BMG single to get a CD single in the UK.

A second to midnight not going top 100 with a physical was a big disappointment and same with real groove which really should have done far better.
As a song I don't rate it much but agree it could have bern handled better and I never like seeing kylie miss out on showing up in the charts.
I feel like 'A Second to Midnight' narrowly missed out on charting twice, which is annoying. That definitely could have been handled better.

What was it's peak midweek position on both weeks?

Might be an unpopular opinion but I prefer 'Disco' to 'Tension'! It mainly comes down to spending a lot of time with 'Disco' which made the lockdown so much more bearable and I have a lot of memories attached to the album, whereas I only found myself listening to 'Tension' a lot in its first few weeks of release. I don't know if Kylie sort of abandoning the era in favour of Vegas influenced me, because when I look at the songs themselves they're just as strong as the ones on 'Disco'. Strangely I also find 'Tension' feels like a much shorter album, despite the main edition being just one song and five minutes shorter than 'Disco'.

I knew 'Disco' didn't house a Top 40 hit but I've never considered that as a misstep for the era. 'Dancing' felt like it did better than I expected a current Kylie song to do so for 'Say Something' and 'Magic' to achieve Top 75 peaks and both likely selling 100k+ seemed decent enough achievements. It was frustrating to watch 'A Second to Midnight' miss out on Top 100 placings not once but twice, especially as it seemed like it should have been achievable on both occasions.

I love a few songs from Disco and don't care about a few.

But in a decade, something tells me I'll still be listening to songs like Real groove, miss a thing, etc. but don't know how many from Tension I'll be listening to.

With disco real groove say something and celebrate you I will always listen to as I love all 3. With Tension hold onto now is a classic kylie for me and padam padam and tension I will go back to aswell alot and both albums are 2 I will continue to play in full as I genuinely love both albums.

I don't know what it is, but I ADORE Real Groove! Both the original and the Dua version
