Anyway, I think this is easily a better choice to push than 'I Drink Wine'. It's about time she showed a different side to her, IDW wouldn't exactly quell all the accusations of her being a one trick pony.
I really like Oh My God, it's definitely a better choice of second single and it's turning into one of my favourite songs of hers

I mean 'Rolling in the Deep', 'Set Fire to the Rain' and 'Water Under The Bridge' were all big hits ?

Water Under The Bridge is an album track  , as is River Lea, Let Ha Wallace's fave Adele song!!

She has been away for YEARS. The nee TikTokers will only know her big first singles, which have all been BALALDS, except for her liveliest ever song, Rolling In The Deep.

She needs to release Can I ... Get It? Next after Oh My God?, and then I Drink Wine to finish the campaign!!

Next album needs to be led by an upbeat track. This campaign should have started with Can I ... Get It?, with Easy On Me second, released same week as the album, and then around the awards season, switch to Oh My God? Fonish with I Drink Wine and job's done.

That's as maybe (although those latter two tracks are hardly radically different for her anyway), but I see and hear so many people saying "all her songs sound the same" so feel an upbeat track like this is really needed now to silence those naysayers and prevent a backlash.

'Water Under The Bridge' has emerged as being my absolute favourite Adele song in recent times though.

Actually "Water Under The Bridge" and "Love In The Dark" got quite big boosts on spotify/iTunes etc due to going viral on Tiktok just before she released 30 and during the album campaign before the Christmas takeover.

A longer teaser clip for the video:

It looks like it's going to be so good!! *_*

I was half expecting a more basic "Send My Love" style video but looks like there's a lot going in from the longer teaser!
I have actually found myself going back to I Drink Wine more than Oh My God at the moment but this is definitely the right choice of second single for being a bit more upbeat, I do hope the video sells the song a bit more to me.
Do we reckon it could go to #1 with the video release plus it being the next single? Almost certainly expect it to shoot up to top 5 minimum but not sure it can go all the way since it’s been out for a while now

I think it's possible if it gets full playlist support/gets put at #1 on Hot Hits etc. Especially with sales being so low currently.

I can't see either of Oh My God or I Drink Wine outdoing their existing chart peaks. Hopefully I'm wrong though - Oh My God would be a great #1!

Maybe a performance on the BRITS and her sweeping the awards could push it to #1?

I am hoping for a BRITS performance. We haven’t had a live Oh My God performance yet (as far as I am aware), so there is definitely scope for it to get a big boost for those who don’t follow streaming services/bought the album yet. Watermelon sugar showed a song can still blow up post album, though rare. Time will tell.

I think it's very lazy criticism to say an artist like Adele only has 1 trick and only 1 type of song, it's clearly people that only know Hello and Easy on Me

god thing about OMG is that it's already high on HH and Spotify playlists so it's not gonna suffer from the usual 2nd single flops cos Spotify ignores it

People are just really desperate for Adele's flop era I guess.
I actually think more 'upbeat' Adele is better. Cold Shoulder, Water Under the Bridge, Rumour Has It and now this single are all faves

Add Rolling in the Deep in the mix too! :D
