Didn't Know is a great novelty rap/dance tune, was a nice surprise to have Tom Zanetti get a belated second big hit.

Not fussed on Holiday, sounds a bit too much like a James Arthur song for my liking

Holiday feels so dated, it being one of KSI's bigger hits feels baffling even if I don't think it's bad by any means!

Biography

On the insanely catchy dance-pop bopper “Dance Monkey,” Toni Watson’s high-flying wails instantly grab you. The chart-dominating track from 2019 was inspired by the Australian singer/songwriter’s experience as a full-time busker. Just a year prior, Watson (born in Mornington Peninsula near Melbourne) quit her retail job, packed up her Casio keyboard and loop pedal, and headed north to the surfer town of Byron Bay, where she found her voice playing the streets several hours a day. After catching the eye of a local music lawyer, Tones And I scored a deal with Sony-affiliated Bad Batch Records and released her 2019 debut single, “Johnny Run Away,” a groovy electro-pop gem dedicated to her best friend. It was a runaway success in Australia, and “Dance Monkey,” released two months later, pushed her into the international spotlight. Both songs appear on her debut EP, The Kids Are Coming, which shines with Tones And I’s potent mix of poignant tales and positive vibes. But she’s since admitted it’s not her most honest work: “I put fake names under all these songs,” she admitted to Apple Music. “I didn’t show people the real side of me.” So, she returned in 2020 with singles “Bad Child” and “Ur So F**kInG cOoL,” both of which let her distinctive voice power through throbbing beats, rumbling bass, and all her deepest insecurities. - Apple Music

Late to this (just call me Redsox) but this is as messy as I’d anticipated. All these ancient songs-some of which I didn’t even know were doing this well due to the disparity between this chart and the weekly one. I was hoping to see Anywhere Away From Here feature and it’s nice to see it sneak in at 100, though it’ll probably fall out by the time the most recent week is added. I’m amazed though that it’s this high considering all the old tracks ahead of it.

One year at no.88 is ridiculous for a six week no.1 as well.

It is very messy to read through with the disparity from the weekly charts.

those Tom Zanetti and Majestic songs are the lowest form of "music" imaginable (edit: I'll throw Tones and I in there too x)

Holiday is kinda impossible to hate, I mainly just love that it sounds specifically made for a cruise advert or sth

Fly Away is a bit pedestrian but a nice enough song. Was good to have her belatedly get a 2nd hit at least so she wouldn't remain a 1HW

Biography

When singer-songwriter Billie Eilish feels something new, the first thing she does is take out her phone and write it down. “You can write anything,” she told Apple Music in an interview for the Up Next series. “You can say the truth, and you can not tell anyone that it’s the truth—you can just write it, and it’ll be yours.” Raised and homeschooled in Los Angeles by actor/musician parents, Eilish (born Billie Eilish Pirate Baird O'Connell in 2001) started writing songs when she was around 11, exploring a strain of melancholy, minimal and slightly surrealistic pop influenced as much by Lana Del Rey as the radical honesty of rappers like Tyler, the Creator and Earl Sweatshirt. Writing and recording with her brother—and producer—Finneas O’Connell at their parents’ house, Eilish released dont smile at me in 2017, followed by an ever-evolving series of singles—a prime example of the fact that, in the streaming era, artists are now free to move directly from their bedrooms into the spotlight. Despite the attention, Eilish is doing her best to stake out a space of freedom and fluidity, expanding her range of collaborators (Vince Staples, Khalid) and dodging easy definition. “If people think I have a sound, if people are like, ‘Oh yeah, her sound is this,’ if someone asks you what my sound is and you have an answer for them—you’re wrong,” she told Beats 1’s Zane Lowe. “Instead of trying to find a sound, when I want to make something and when I have an idea of what I want to make, I’m just going to make that.” - Apple Music

‘Happier than Ever’ a surprise but deserved massive hit in the end. Great you are playing the non mutilated version!

Happier Than Ever ONLY #53! :o Billie done dirty here...

I still remember when I first listened through the album this really wasn't one of my highlights at all and I was actually rooting for Oxytocin or something else to be her highest charting album track but after I heard the song a few more times it finally clicked with me and i've loved it since.

Unpopular opinion I'm sure but I sooo prefer Up over WAP! Crazy that it only peaked at #16. I just saw a headline that Cardi's finally releasing another album this year...

Me too! Our tastes <3

Biography

Fleetwood Mac are a British-American rock band, formed in London in 1967. Fleetwood Mac were founded by guitarist Peter Green, drummer Mick Fleetwood and guitarist Jeremy Spencer, before bassist John McVie joined the lineup for their self-titled debut album. Danny Kirwan joined as a third guitarist in 1968. Keyboardist Christine Perfect, who contributed as a session musician from the second album, married McVie and joined in 1970.

Primarily a British blues band, Fleetwood Mac scored a UK number one with "Albatross", and had other hits such as the singles "Oh Well" and "Man of the World". All three guitarists left in succession during the early 1970s, to be replaced by guitarists Bob Welch and Bob Weston and vocalist Dave Walker. By 1974, all three of them had either departed or been dismissed, leaving the band without a male lead vocalist or guitarist. In late 1974, while Fleetwood was scouting studios in Los Angeles, he was introduced to American folk-rock duo Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks. Fleetwood Mac soon asked Buckingham to be their new lead guitarist, and Buckingham agreed on condition that Nicks would also join the band.

The addition of Buckingham and Nicks gave the band a more pop rock sound, and their 1975 self-titled album, Fleetwood Mac, reached No. 1 in the United States. Rumours (1977), Fleetwood Mac's second album after the arrival of Buckingham and Nicks, produced four U.S. Top 10 singles and remained at number one on the American albums chart for 31 weeks. It also reached the top spot in various countries around the world and won a Grammy Award for Album of the Year in 1978. Rumours has sold over 40 million copies worldwide, making it the one of the best-selling albums in history. The band went through personal turmoil while recording the album, as both the romantic partnerships in the band (one being John and Christine McVie, and the other being Buckingham and Nicks) separated while continuing to make music together.

The band's personnel remained stable through three more studio albums, but by the late 1980s began to disintegrate. After Buckingham and Nicks each left the band, they were replaced by a number of other guitarists and vocalists. A 1993 one-off performance for the first inauguration of Bill Clinton featured the lineup of Fleetwood, John McVie, Christine McVie, Nicks, and Buckingham back together for the first time in six years. A full reunion occurred four years later, and the group released their fourth U.S. No. 1 album, The Dance (1997), a live compilation of their hits, also marking the 20th anniversary of Rumours. Christine McVie left the band in 1998, but continued to work with the band in a session capacity. Meanwhile, the group remained together as a four-piece, releasing their most recent studio album, Say You Will, in 2003. Christine McVie rejoined the band full-time in 2014. In 2018, Buckingham was fired from the band and was replaced by Mike Campbell, formerly of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, and Neil Finn of Split Enz and Crowded House.

Fleetwood Mac have sold more than 120 million records worldwide, making them one of the world's best-selling bands. In 1979, the group were honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. In 1998 the band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and received the Brit Award for Outstanding Contribution to Music. - Wikipedia

The revival for this came more at the end of 2020 but it wasn't in last year's EOY, so it can have a lil play now x

Like Fly Away. Glad it’s Tones’ 2nd biggest hit of the year. :kink:

Happier Than Ever - I can never decide if it’s a work of genius or just 2 rather average songs strung together.

Nice to hear Dreams.
