Light Switch has climbed a lot on Apple in the past day in particular!

Into the Amazon top 100 today for the first time are: Pump 101 (currently #83), The Motto (#90) and 505 (#91 - lots of other old songs are there every day, but that's the first I've seen any Arctic Monkeys song there in the 4 months or so I've been checking it).

 

Dos Oruguitas appeared at #55 earlier but seems to have disappeared just as quickly. Still no Surface Pressure or any other non-Bruno Encanto songs, as per almost 3 weeks now.

I notice how nearly everyone (apart from Joseph there) seems to comment on the Spotify chart positions over the Apple Music ones. I am guessing that's because there are more paid-for streams per chart position on the Spotify chart compared to the Apple chart (as well as the free streams of course) and so it is deemed 'more important' to follow.

 

I like commenting on the Apple Chart more because there tends to be more dance songs there!

 

Hopefully 'Mad At Me' doing better on Apple Music now will stop its decline on the official chart. I am not really a fan of the Seamus D track, its a bit repetitive, I assume it has become popular on TikTok because of the Rihanna vocal.

It’s not popular on TikTok at all! I assume it’s just playlists pushing it up.

The Motto is not the best dance song ever but doesn't deserve the mis-treatment Spotify it's giving it

What I mean is that it sucks that much worst dance tracks like Joel Corry/Mabel or Lost Frequencies are doing so well thanks to playlist support

while The Motto is getting any, and funnily right now it's doing pretty similarly to I Wish, despite I Wish being #1 on HH and The Motto being track #50 or something

actually The Motto is now top 50 on Spotify after being moved up a tiny bit on HH
