Now Yearbook 1980 has a great tracklist. Fantastic. Will buy that. Now will they go back to '79 next? The 70's is my favourite era.

Seeing as NOW 12 will be re-released on 29th July, that means NOW 112 will be released then which seems a bit out of place than usual. But saying that, it will be 16 weeks after 8th April which is when NOW 111 was released and it’s 16 weeks before 18th November which is when NOW 113 will more likely be released

If NOW didn’t decide to release NOW 112 a week later than usual, then we’d be getting the tracklist today or tomorrow. Why release on the 29th instead of the 22nd?

According to Amazon, NOW 112 has been confirmed for 29th July and the cover and tracklist are already up

Sam Ryder Disc 1, track 2, they should have let him kick it off!! It's bigger than the George Ezra track that actually does. Great to see Stefania on there too, two Eurovision songs (and the last two winners next to each other *.*)

Some random songs towards the end, shame they couldn't get As It Was, Starlight by Dave, Running Up That Hill etc. I think I'd have also kicked it off with Afraid To Feel personally, the sequencing is extremely random.

Hopefully AIW will be saved for NOW 113. No reason for "Go" to be on there again, they could’ve at least included the Russ Millions remix which is an entirely different song. With Ed, I’m surprised they skipped OG in favour of TJATQ but I’d rather it was the Taylor version. 2step will more likely be on NOW 113 and I’d have preferred if the Mariah remix of BE was on there as that it was made the song a hit. Not many album artists but there’s loads of random songs which I ain’t heard of or failed to crack the top 40. Bit odd having George on track 1. LF SYSTEM should be on track 1

I suspect that's all Ed would license to them, or they'd have picked the Taylor version or 2 Step. I wouldn't be surprised if licensing really huge hits is becoming a little harder now as the sales of these albums has fallen so much, so they will probably appear more random looking going forward. There really aren't that many top 10 hits on here.
The way Ed licenses his hits, I was expecting them to put OG on 112, TJATQ on 113 and 2step on 114. On the other hand, no Joel Corry

It is lacking. I reckon the reason AIW isn’t on there is because of how well the album is doing so far. They might include it on NOW 113. What they did with "Go" this year, they did with SYT and IAS last year: put the original on one album and the next version on the next album

The state of these albums these days is really making me feel sad. Too much filler and not enough proper hits, and I don't think it's Now's fault as the charts have been moving at a snails pace in recent months. I think they are battling with the costs to license some tracks and as the albums are selling less and less, it's getting hard to justify the costs.

I really think the time has come to only have two editions per year, it won't solve all their problems, but at least it will make the volumes more appealing with less of the filler tracks.

Also, by moving to two more time might have passed for some of the bigger hits to have fallen out of the charts and be cheaper/easier to license. I love getting three editions a year but can't argue that two a year would ramp up the overall strength of the albums by quite a lot. I think I'd be inclined to ditch the spring one and just have one for summer and one for Christmas.

The average consumer has basically stopped buying these anyway but any casual buyer will just take a look at this, see 10 big hits and a load they don't know, and put it back on the shelf.

We had only two in 1985, 1986, 1987, 1990 and 1991. In 1985 and 1986, they ditched the spring edition and in 1987, 1990 and 1991, they ditched the summer edition

I didn't even realise Steps had released Hard 2 Forget as a single

It’s the latest single from their upcoming GH album next month. I was expecting them to be on there as they seem to be a NOW favourite. I’m surprised they didn’t include Kylie’s latest single with Gloria Gaynor as she seems to be another NOW favourite

Sam Ryder settling for 2nd yet again then xx Pleasantly surprised to see 'Stefania' on there as well as iirc 'ZITTI E BUONI' wasn't on there last year despite being a bigger hit.

To be fair I think there are only 4 songs on here that haven't at least made the top 100 (Steps, Lost Frequencies/James Arthur, Baby Queen and Mark Owen), I'm sure there have been other editions lately that had more than that! Don't think this tracklist is as barrel scraping as people are making it out to be. The sequencing is a little weird though.
