I was thinking this straight away, so she's either going to tie was Kameron as the most successful lip sync assassin of all time, or they're going to do a slow old timey lip sync song that she doesn't vibe with to get her out.

March 31, 20223 yr I'm hoping we get at least two total flops. This cast fell to pieces in Snatch Game, let's not forget. I wonder if Lady Camden might struggle with the tone for an American audience. I remember how shocked Ru was at the comedy challenge on UK2 from some very tame swearing. I kinda think Daya Betty might do well here? Surely the villain will have loads of insults ready to go? I also think she'd be an iconic flop if she had a meltdown after though :D

I have the same concern, I'm rooting for Camden hard at the moment but I have an awful image of her and Jorgeous in the bottom and I'm feeling like Camden might be the only person to slay Jorgeous, especially if they get a rockier lip sync song. But I'm getting ahead of myself.
March 31, 20223 yr Author Camden is the best lipsyncer of the season imo, as much as everyone likes to go on about how Jorgeous giving basic high energy lipsyncs invented the art of perormance :lol: I mean Camden absolutely killed a rock song (One Way Or Another) and a soulful ballad (Don't Let Go) and she held her own against Jorgeous to a Beyonce song! She's the most versatile anyway for sure.

April 2, 20223 yr Author WIN Bosco HIGH Willow, Camden Safe Angeria (honestly bordering low, I would argue her actual content was barely better than Jorgeous but she just delivered it with confidence to save it) Bottom 3: DeJa, Daya, Jorgeous for me I definitely agree that Bosco won no qualms about that, Willow and Camden had higher highs but in terms of all the facets - energy, content and delivery - I feel like Bosco is the only one who hit all three without letting up, Willow and Camden both had a couple of awkward moments or joke that didn't land. But it wasn't up there with the best roasts. Honestly Jorgeous... wasn't THAT bad? It wasn't good, but there was some ok content there it wasn't the total bomb I expected (DeJa was though :/). Like it was definitely way beyond her time to go, but the main problem wasn't the jokes or even her delivery, it was her energy, you could see she just couldn't be arsed. Even before the challenge she gave up and had a bad attitude, had she just believed in herself and did what was asked, she could have actually done well this week. I just hate girls coming on this show after 20+ seasons all in all and acting like it's a surprise when they have to do acting or comedy! Anyway, it's finally time she went, no shade, but she lasted at least 3 episodes longer than she had any business to and that's being generous. That lipsync was.... a lipsync. I'm really disappointed, because that's the absolute perfect song for Daya I feel, especially when you consider her storyline and trajectory, and whilst she definitely beat th others, that was underwhelming. Jorgeous like that to good 4 u was borderline embarrassing and I didn't even notice DeJa :lol: I wonder if DeJa just gave up knowing two would go, that's kind of how it felt, and I don't blame her when she already did the worst and the judges felt the need to basically shit on her entirely through the critiques etc lmao I have to say that's the weakest episode of the season for me. It just felt rushed, with no satisfying narrative (even Bosco coming back after the CHOC and winning just felt like "oh that happened"), it was a filler episode where they just wanted to offload 2 girls as quickly as possible because so many fake elim/non elim/double save episodes has thrown the pacing off. It's odd because the double elim was certainly justified, but the editing wasn't "gaggy", it felt so anticlimactic, idk just nearly everything this week felt kinda off and I'm not used to that being the case for this season :/
April 2, 20223 yr Daya handily won that lipsync imo. She even won it at the start when the other two started out by swaying for no reason. She also took the judges' tips on styling herself for the runway, making the most of her legs. Ru seemed kinda over a few of the dolls this ep & disappointed in everyone who admitted to not enjoying the challenge. As for Jorgeous, man what a weird edit. Openly admitting to not having learned anything from the season & believing she's not good at ANY of the skills they're being tested on bar dancing. MULTIPLE of the other queens calling this out during their roasts and it all being kept in! Yet, Ru, Michelle etc. had nothing but praise for her all season long until this episode and even now insist(ed) that she has absolute star quality. Girls,give specsavers a call!
April 2, 20223 yr I am not mad at the song choice, we need more pop punk/punk rock/alternative songs in a lip sync format. But what in the Arceus was that lip sync "good 4 u" is a 2020's angst anthem, very reminiscent of late 90's female fronted grunge (Garbage, Hole, etc.). This was a chance to go full send balls to the wall and dance like nobody's watching. Of course I didn't want something like the Season 4 trainwrecks but this was so tame. I didn't see anything that resembled mindless flailing until the second chorus and it still felt very refined and choreographed. Like f*ck looking fierce, actually convey the song like it's meant to be conveyed. Compare this to Mayhem's "Celebrity Skin" LSFYL. The reason why I enjoyed the latter was because Mayhem wasn't afraid to look like she was cracked. All three of them played it too safe. Daya was the closest to the right emotion but even that still felt too inhibited.

Yeah 100%, like I said it felt like the perfect song for Daya, she's been so angry at times and if she had channelled that and just gone crazy with it, it would have been an incredible lipsync. I don't think every lipsync needs to be at 100, nuanced emotion is fine, I just don't think there was enough for this one even though she easily won it. Maybe for storyline, it would have been better if it was Jasmine there instead of Jorgeous, imagine her just channeling her random hatred for Jasmine into good 4 u lmao What this showed me was... lowkey I can't see how any of these queens would beat Camden in a lipsync for the crown given all we have seen? :lol: But Willow is screaming winner edit and she's my winner for sure, with Camden I do love her but she doesn't give me as much winner energy, she gives me runner-up who comes back and slays All Star tbh. Angeria is still really plateauing for me, not by any means is she doing bad, but it's hard when you start off as flawlessly as she did and have to keep that momentum up.
April 2, 20223 yr Definitely enjoying Lady Camden so much now she's found herself and pushing her limits in the challenges, bit like Gottmik from S13 where she's just genuinely enjoying the process so much and its a joy to see! Good to see Bosco getting a redemption but surprised it wasn't that big a deal in the edit? Do kinda agree that we've had so many gags this season that having a bottom three and two going home should've been a big moment as a result of an overall quite poor roast but just seemed like it was 'just another week'? Right two went to leave us a very strong top five imo. Looking forward to next week's challenge and things hotting up for the finale after quite a few weeks of slow progression.
April 2, 20223 yr Surely Bosco and Willow have the best chance to win of this top 5? Angie has been going backwards a bit plus the show probably doesn't want another black winner in a row, Daya is only here by the skin of her teeth, and Camden isn't American. Plus Willow and Bosco are trans and Ru wants to show how open minded she is. I would love none of that to matter though!

April 2, 20223 yr I'm glad I wasn't right about Camden being in the bottom... definitely rooting for her the most now. I have no qualms about this episode. I will say Jorgeous did better than I was expected to, so kudos to her. Deja really dropped the ball on that one, not being the comedy queen then being eliminated in the comedy challenge. As soon as the lip sync song started I knew it would be a Daya win and well, I guess she won but I was underwhelmed. I'm pleased we are down another two queens and they are the two I most wanted to go this week, sounds harsh but let's keep this ship sailing!!
April 2, 20223 yr I think Bosco might be one of the most overrated queens in recent times. I don't think she's bad, but what is she giving that other queens haven't?! I don't get it. She's not even finale worthy in my opinion!
