Was weird hearing the "on the day I die" part cut out of the song at the Jubilee replaced by just the music in the back

I'm still not overly mad on this because of the cheesy chorus really. Let's an otherwise catchy song down for me. I'd expect it will go top 10 for him unlike AFT now though as it's climbing faster in places.

Surely it would of been better if he changed the lyrics to something like “You better throw a party on the Queen’s Jubilee”.

I am very much surprised Green Green Grass has become a bigger hit than the superior Anyone For You.

As always its downto Spotify playlist support

Tiger Lily has very little support, Green Grass has had lots

Im finding this album takes more time, its def not as instant as his last but the songs get better and better after a few listens.
Yeh I agree there’s a fair few gems on it but aren’t as instant!

Forever I've thought he's been singing "me and the girls" as it he's going out for a night out with his girl friends (which I thought didn't really sound like him haha), turns out it's just "me and the girl"

I thought George had a successful 2022 but apparentely others out there don't think so? Ouch.

I laughed when Justin Hawkins called him the new Rick Astley

I'd say he had a very good 2022. Number 1 album which is still in the current album chart and has sold rather well considering alot of albums tend to fall away very fast after their debut week as a long running Top 20 and Top 5 hit single. I'm not too sure if the Christmas invasion hampered 'Dance All Over Me', but it still had good radio airplay and seemed to help the album sell through the autumn and Christmas period, not to mention he gets invited on the top TV shows to perform.

I agree but I suppose his album isn't favoured by critics which makes it easier for people to have a swipe at him for his Artist of the Year nomination.

I don't think anyone disputes that he had a successful year, just whether or not he deserves an award nomination for the quality of his output.
