Tension cracks the walls

41. Kiss Me Once - 6.75
42. Still Standing - 6.583
43. Love At First Sight - 6.25
44. I'll Still Be Loving You - 6.083

Kylie's debut takes a battering here with 2 of the 3 tracks dropping out in quick succession. The first of which at #44 is I'll Still Be Loving You - Probably the closest thing to an actual ballad on Kylie's self-titled debut. A cute number where Kylie reaches for those high notes on the slowed down chorus wonderfully. The song appeared as a b-side to the European re-release of "The Loco-Motion" and also appeared in Kylie's smiley mix which appeared on later single 'Never Too Late'. The song wasn't performed live until 2018 when a chorus of the song was included in the set list for the Golden Tour.

The first Love At First Sight drops next, which closes Kylie's self-titled debut. Sure it doesn't compare to its more iconic namesake, but a joyus slice of pop fun. Kylie performed the song on her 'Enjoy Yourself Tour' in 1990.

Up next at #42 is Still Standing, track 2 on Kylie's 9th studio album "Body Language", a groovy electro dance number with a superb synth beat running throughout and sounds confident on this funky number. The song was written by Alexis Strum & Ash Thomas, with production handled by Ash under the name baby ash and was originally pitched as a demo, performed by Strum in 2003. Kylie performed the song on her one-off show 'Money Can't Buy' to launch her 'Body Langauge' album.

The first of many title tracks to feature here at #41 is Kiss Me Once, the title track of her 12th studio album. The track was written and produced by Sia Furler and was even considered as a single at some point in the album campaign, but sadly never came to fruition. The song begins with anthemic ringing chant and quickly moves into the first verse with poppy beats, before bursting into life at the chorus. One of the better tracks on the much maligned album for sure.

38. Secrets - 6.875
39. If I Was Your Lover - 6.833
40. Right Here Right Now - 6.791

At the #40 is the early 90's pop jam Right Here Right Now, from Kylie's 4th studio album "Let's Get To It". The song was written by Kylie herself and her PWL team Mike Stock and Pete Waterman and samples "Are You Gonna Be There" by Shay Jones in 1991. A fun pop/dance number with a thumping early 90's beat.

If I Was Your Lover drops next at #39 which features on her 5th studio album "KM'94" & was written and produced by Jimmy Harry whose also responsible for 'Put Yourself In My Place'. The song was initially planned as the follow-up single to 'Confide In Me' in the USA and then elsewhere if successful, but Imago went bankcrupt and all plans to release this and the album were scrapped. Shame this didn't become a single as its a great funky dance number with great rhythm beats and harder edged production, with sexy breathy vocals by Kylie, this could have easily been a successful hit.

Secrets rounds of this bunch at #38, which features on Kylie's 3rd studio album Rhythm Of Love. A fun catchy pop number that could have easily been featured on her 'Enjoy Yourself' album, yet its more than welcome on 'ROL'. The song was covered by British Soap actress Sophie Lawrence, but it didn't get released due to her getting dropped by the record label.

Really enjoyed those write ups. I suspect I haven't given enough time to some of the earlier tracks mentioned.

I do listen to Kiss Me Once more than most tracks from that album though. So surprised to see that out so soon.

Love at first sight a little lower than hoped but not a shock. I agree about secrets it's more suited to enjoy yourself rather than rhythm of love.

Wasn’t expecting Kylie’s debut to be hit first but I am glad we’re getting those album tracks out the way so soon, I find that album has the weakest ‘top’ album tracks. I did enjoy I’ll Still Be Loving You making an appearance on the Golden Tour though; I think it’s a sweet song melodically, I’m just not a fan of the high pitched vocals.

Kiss Me Once out already is a shock, I thought that was quite the fave! Same goes for Right Here Right Now.

35. Loving Days - 7.083
36. Too Much of a Good Thing - 6.958
37. Lost Without You - 6.916

Coming as a TOTAL SHOCK (for me at least) at #37 is the stunning Lost Without You,whixh featured on Kylie's 14th studio album "Golden", as one of the 4 bonus tracks on the deluxe edition. Kylie loved the song so much that she had to fight for it to be on the album, due to it not having the country/pop sound the rest of the tracks had. The song was an instant fan-fave upon the album's release that it made the set-list for her 'Golden Tour', a first I think when it comes to any of her bonus tracks. This song is simply breathtaking & gutted that it ranks so low on here, it deserves top 10 in my opinion. Powerful vocals and electric guitars laden this magnificent number from beginning to end. By far the absolute STAND-OUT moment on the album for sure.

Next up both 'Let's Get To It' & 'Body Langauge' both loses another track in this countdown, leaving both albums with only 1 song left in the running. First up at #36 is Too Much of a Good Thing, a house styled number that samples both Janet Jackson's 'Control' & 'Let The Beat Hit Em' by Lisa Lisa and Cult Jam. It was later used as a b-side to Kylie's final PWL single 'Celebration'. This is a strong funky pop/dance track with soft understated vocals by Kylie which can feel a little drowned out by the backing singers, but this is still one of the best moments from 'Let's Get To It' & could have been a strong lead single contender.

The last of this bunch at '#35 is Loving Days, again another fan fave from Kylie's 9th studio album "Body Language". Probably the closest to a ballad on the album with the backing of a full string orchestra & her tender vocals sweeps across the melody and rises continuously until that spine tingling middle-eight. This is arguably one of the most epic offerings from a otherwise very uneven album & certainly the shining moment of the latter half.
Secrets and Sophie Lawrence…remember reading that in Smash Hits!

Shocking to see Lost Without You so low but I know it has some vocal dislike on here. I think it’s a real beauty and what a moment on the Golden Tour.

Loving Days is the saviour of a rather poor second half to Body Language.

Lost without you is a kylie sing I never felt the love for like so many other fans have but in this rate I expected it to be far higher as it's a popular song on the forum. I like the song but dont love it.
Ya I heard it loads, it's not bad but sophie's voice sound weak on it although I did enjoy her version of loves unkind and bought it in vinyl at the time which I still have.
Sophie's version sounds very Bananarama. Not convinced that it's completely Sophie's own voice, having become quite used to her talking voice when rewatching old episodes of EastEnders where she played Diane Butcher.

32. Magnetic Electric - 7.208
33. Les Sex - 7.166
34. Surrender - 7.125

At #34 is the sexy Surrender, which features on Kylie's 5th studio album 'KM'94', which makes this the 2nd to fall out, but the era still has 2 songs left, due to a 3rd place tie. Love the superb 90's dance beat that runs throughout this seductive number, with Kylie taking her vocals to unexplored places as she holds those gorgeous long high notes at the end of the song. Stunning track which follows on from the iconic lead single perfectly.

Another classy seductive track drops next Les Sex, which features on Kylie's 12th studio album "Kiss Me Once". This was the 3rd (& best) sex titled track on the album & was also released as a promotional single South America. Love the uptempo synths on this track which gives this classy number a sense of urgency. This really should have been a single & still stands as one of my personal faves on a very lacklustre album.

At #32 is Magnetic Electric which featured as a bonus track on Kylie's 10th studio album "X". The song was recorded during the albun sessions but didn't make the album (for some reason) & at one point the album was gonna be named after it. The track was performed live for the very first time on the 'Anti Tour' in 2012 where it was the opening number, which was launched as part of Kylie's K25 celebrations. This really SHOULD have made the album & been the album opener with its cool electro dance sounds, grinding synths, swirling beats and catchy rhythms, a lfirm underrated gem in Kylie's back catatlog.

Following Confide in Me on a track list is quite a hard feat but I think Surrender does it really well. The vocal is gorgeous, as is the melody; it’s so dreamy and seductive and sets the tone for the rest of the album.

I remember Les Sex being an early favourite at the time of release but I’ve gone off it a lot since then. Not a bad song by any means but the chorus just feels a bit lacklustre when it should be a playful song. It all feels a bit awkward when Kylie performed it too.

Love the idea of Magnetic Electric opening the album and I think it would have been a great title, although I do appreciate X was chosen because of how it was being referred to by fans and because of its multiple references. One of many outtakes that surpass a lot of what made the album.

Les Sex is brilliant maybe the title put them off releasing it as a single because it’s a definite standout from KMO.

I also think the title may have put them off releasing les sex as a single, it was the only song that stood out to me when I bought the album and it still is. If ctystalize was on the album it would have been between those 2 as these 2 songs and into the blue are the only songs I like from that time.

Magnetic electric would have been a great album title and i would have preferred it to X, there was so much missed opportunities in general with x that could have really propelled the album.
