Raining Glitter is a quality track though I personally prefer the laid back charm of Shelby 68.

So many good album tracks left alongside so many good ones eliminated.

Any can triumph but Light Years and Like a Drug could be the top 2.

I'd be happy with that top 2 and I think both are in with a chance, I'm hoping im over dreaming over you can hang out a bit longer. I'm delighted it made the top 10 but am expecting it to be out sooner than later but the later the better.

It’s an early Kylie bop….nice remix B side to BTDYK. Early 90s PWL gold fits nicely alongside Sonia’s Listen to Your Heart.

10. I'm Over Dreaming (Over You) - 8.333

Kicking off the top 10 is the last of Kylie's PWL tracks; I'm Over Dreaming (Over You), which featured on her 2nd studio album "Enjoy Yourself" and like all of her releases up to that point the song was written & produced by Stock Aitken and Waterman. The song was considered to be released as the album's 3rd single, but it was ultimately decided that "Never Too Late" would be released instead. A remix of the song was later used as the b-side to 'Better The Devil You Know'.

A brilliant track that gained a whole new lease of life thanks to its 'Anti Tour' performance in 2012. Thumping pop/dance number with a very deep bass which gives this a more club feel that already shows signs of maturity in Kylie's sound at this early stage in her career & yet still very much pop thanks its catchy chorus & infectious verses with just a hint of disco thrown in there. Definitely one of the best moments on 'EY' that gives you a hint of the progression she would take on further albums. A true gem in Kylie's discography.
While im glad it made the final 10 I was hoping for higher, one of many highlights on enjoy yourself a kylie album often overlooked but I still love. I love the music plus I have so many great memories associated with that time of my life.

9. Aphrodite - 8.375

At #9 is Aphrodite, the title track which features on Kylie's 11th studio album of the same name. The song was written and produced by Nerina Pallot and Andy Chatterley & lyrically Kylie personifies herself as Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of love, beauty, pleasure, and procreation. Upon the album's release the song was met with critical acclaim by music critics, many of whom noted that it was one of the strongest tracks on the album. Despite not being released as a single, it managed to peak at #6 on the Ultratip chart in Belguim & #25 on the Airplay chart. The song was part of the setlist for the 'Aphrodite Les Foiles Tour' in 2011 as the opening number, as well as various other events such as the 2012 Sydney Mardi Gras as part of a medley.

Another fantastic title track that again could have been a single (this would have been my single #3 choice from the era). The song kicks off with drumtastic beats which explodes into a militant foot stomping beats, full of commanding energy & sass with Kylie at her upmost fierce. The chorus has that fool-good factor to it awash with keyboards and synth drums. Everything about this thumping pop track works, the vocals, the beat & almighty chrous. This could have easily been a far bigger hit than 'Better Than Today' & been right up there with some of Kylie's classic tunes in her extensive discography. As it stands this is definiately one of Kylie's best album tracks ever.

A firecracker of a song, I was *.* the moment I heard it.

It should've been the 3rd single, let's face it 'Better Than Today's release literally revolved around that X-Factor performance and nothing else. This would've been more of an event and lent itself to a more vivacious and noteworthy performance.

Aphrodite could have been a good single, it actually took me a while to really get into the song, it initially wasnt anything much to me when I first heard the album.

8. Raining Glitter - 8.541

The last of the "Golden" era drops now with Raining Glitter at #8. The song was written by Kylie, Alex Smith, Mark Taylor and Eg White & prodyced by the latter 3. The song was also written in Nashville during Kylie's 2 week visit in 2017 & stated in an interview that Eg White was talking about disco & both decided to blend the 2 genres of Country and Disco together to create the track; Kylie also stated that she'd been inspired by The Jacksons' video for "Can You Feel It", where glitter is being sprinkled everywhere. The track was released as the album's first promotional single in March 2018 onto all streaming services.

How can you not love a song titled "Raining Glitter", which was a great choice to release just before the album dropped, as while I personally loved her country/pop sound, I also remember quite a few of the fans not being fully on board with it, despite the fantastic first 2 singles already released. This campy number is more in line with her usual pop/dance outings as this leans more into the those sounds onto the catchy chorus. Yet at the same time this does totally fits on the album as the country guitars are promenint on the verses. However its the nu-disco basslines, thumping beats & hand claps is what really makes this more enjoyable & yet these flourishes are organic & don't sound out of place, which is thanks to the stellar production.

Quality tracks flowing thick and fast.

All three deserving of special praise.

7. Fever - 8.583

At #7 is Fever, the title track from Kylie's 8th studio album. Written by Greg Fitzgerald & Tom Nichols, with production by the former. Lyrically the song talks about how a partner turns Kylie on, giving her 'Fever', with Kylie seeking medical assistance during the pre-choruses. The song was set to be the album's 4th single in Australia, with one-track promo CD's made and sent out to radio stations; however the plans for this was cancelled in favour of 'Come Into My World', which was to be released everywhere else, due to its growing popularity on the tour. The track was first performed on the TV show 'An Audience...With Kylie Minogue' in 2001, just ahead of the album's release & then again on her 'KylieFever2002' tour the following year., it's most recent performance was on her 'Homecoming Tour' in 2006, where she performed an acapella version during the Melbourne show.

This was an instant firm fave upon the album's release & at the time I really wanted this to be the 4th single, but thankfully 'Come Into My World' eventually grew on me & even came to appreciate it even more, plus it ended that era perfectly. But if Kylie did decide to extend the era a little further (she easily could have), then this funky electro-pop number also could have made a more than welcomed addition. The high synth notes in the rhythm really adds to the alluring nature of this track & love the tongue in cheek lyrics which gives it that catchy yet infectious vibe to the whole thing. Personally I was glad that this stayed on the album, as like I already said the 4 singles were perfect as they were, with a sophisticated flow going on. 'Fever' was better off as a classic album track in my opinion.

#6 will be revealed later this evening, any guesses, look at the first page to see what's left with just 3 albums left in the running.
Always loved fever, it was instant the first time I heard it and loved it even more when she performed it on an audience with Kylie. I remember that show so much as apart from it been brilliant it was a real Kylie is back and on top of her game moment and back bigger than ever.

Listening to 'Disco Down' now and I could have seen this as a fourth single. It's got the 70s influences but feels very current for 2000/1 (and still doesn't feel dated now). No-one does sad-disco-bangers like Kylie and this is a great example; think I gave this a 9 but really it should have been a 10. Seems strange it wasn't performed on the On a Night Like This tour, but at least that was rectified with that stunning Anti Tour performance.

'Tightrope' is probably Kylie's best B-side and, as has been said many times before, really should have been on the main edition of 'Fever'!

'Limbo' would have made a killer lead single for 'Impossible Princess. Definitely makes you wonder what could have been if the record company had more faith in the album's original experimental dance sound.

I remember watching the Anti Tour performance of 'I'm Over Dreaming (Over You)' and it really made me fall in love with the song, having rarely listened to Kylie's PWL albums. Undeniably catchy and feel-good, second best only to 'Never Too Late' on the album for me.

It should've been the 3rd single, let's face it 'Better Than Today's release literally revolved around that X-Factor performance and nothing else. This would've been more of an event and lent itself to a more vivacious and noteworthy performance.

There was a lot of promo for 'Better Than Today' actually, but I do agree that it should have been reserved for a better song and 'Aphrodite' would have been perfect, especially with an X Factor performance similar to the opening performance we got on the tour. The song is so epic and grand, I think it would have resonated so much more.

'Raining Glitter' wouldn't be Top 10 for me either, but it is a 'Golden' highlight and an integral part of the album as it does satisfy those that wanted more of a familiar sound from Kylie whilst still being in keeping with the country theme of the album.

'Fever' is one of my least favourites on its parent album but obviously still a good track and it's just testament to the strong quality of the other songs. I too like the cheeky vibe to it
