I'd be down for that Star. One remix to surface properly. It'd be a crime to not have a garage tinged remix considering the name of the track. I'm not overly keen on the original but would be happy with a new single mix or other versions coming to light
Good single choice. Be Right Now is the best non-single on the album but I don't think it could stand commercially well so 2Step is the 2nd best option. :D

He just wants those album streams and tags everything onto '='. Can't really see my 50 year old boss and his 10 year old kid running to stream Lil Baby remix (they are big fans of Ed).

EDIT: went to the Spotify page of the album and that Taylor duet is no longer there? Is it still counted for the album streams in the UK?

The only thing that's been added to = is Merry Christmas (and that version of the album's been hidden from his Spotify page for obvious reasons). The Joker and the Queen remix wasn't ever added to = but its streams should still count to the album, as the 2step remix's will too.

If he wanted those album streams so desperately he'd have added Peru and Bam Bam (plus the two J Balvin songs, every little helps right) to the tracklist.

I'm not particularly excited by the prospect of a Lil Baby feature and I don't remember 2step being a favourite when I listened to the album but I'll give it a listen with a fresh mind next Friday, maybe I'll be surprised.

'2step' was another one of the better album tracks from '=' so a fine enough choice of single but I don't really see it catching on as a major hit, at least not with a Lil Baby remix, I can't really see what the market for that is going to be, Ed's fanbase aren't going to care about Lil Baby or vice versa (not that Lil Baby even has a fanbase to speak of in the UK). I think he could have had a better chance of making this a hit (in the UK only of course) if he leaned into the title and went for a garage remix with someone like Craig David or AJ Tracey, that feels like a real missed trick but hey ho.
It’s actually a good song….without Lil baby! He adds nothing to the song, not to mention I can barely make out a word he’s saying

This is a good song by him I think, parts remind me of 'You Need Me, I Don't Need You'

Could've really done without Lil Baby's addition though, why do most modern day rappers sound like they've been put through a vocoder to the extreme?

Yeah I really don't like Lil Baby's parts, he really could have chosen a better rapper for this!
I honestly ignored it when I listened to the album last year, but Its quite catchy! I love the guitar melody and I don't mind eds rap-style bit, but I absolutely hate the lil baby verse so I'm gonna listen to the solo version as its the better of the two and I hope the chart does the same. I doubt they'll credit lil baby if they didn't credit taylor for tjatq so maybe they'll play the solo version like it seems radio 1 is doing
