13 April marked 30 years since the release of 'Finer Feelings, the fourth and final single from 'Let's Get to It'. The song was originally planned as the follow-up single to 'Word is Out', but was eventually released two singles later when it was remixed by Brothers in Rhythm. The music video was directed by Dave Hogan - who had directed Kylie's previous two videos 'What Do I Have to Do' and 'Shocked' - and filmed in Paris. 'Finer Feelings' narrowly missed out on the Top 10 in the UK and became Kylie's lowest charting single in Australia where it reached #69. Despite this, the song has remained a fan favourite, something that was acknowledged when Kylie released an orchestral version recorded at Abbey Road Studios as the first surprise of her K25 celebrations.

30 years on, what are your thoughts and memories of 'Finer Feelings'?

One of her very best tracks.

Sounds grown up, still sounds great today. Fantastic performances, fantastic video and Abbey Road version great too.

Why was it left out of her latest Greatest Hits

This is a good song but never been one of my faves, the only time I revisit it is when I listen to 'Let's Get To It' & that's very rare. The Abbey Roads version is probably the best version of this & really elevates it to more stunning yet with a haunting vibe to it.
I think I have appreciated the song more as it’s aged but the abbey road version is particularly beautiful.
Still adore this now - absolutely robbed of a Top 10 place although it probably would have suited a later release rather than being a May/Summer single.
Just seen celebration performed on TOTP repeat. It was better than her last performance on TOTP of what kind of fool but vocals sounded a bit dodgy at times but she looked like she was having a good time!

Never was a huge fan but I agree if released later in the year it could have went top 10. Number 11 and 41 are two of the most annoying chart peaks.
