When we have these albums by big superstars it's always interesting to see how the album tracks performs... with Harry the least streamed album track yesterday had 479K, meaning nearly 500,000 people streamed the album in full on Spitify... similarly the least streamed Adele track had 419K... by comparison, Drake had some tracks doing over 1 million but the least streamed track had 334K, so only 300,000 people went thru the whole thing.

And still with 500,000 people streaming the album on Spotify, thats just 7K sales... too low... really the rule should be that playlist streams don't count and then real album streams count at a much higher ratio...

 

By comparison Ed's album tracks excluding singles did between 329K the highest to 178K the lowest. So even Ed's best album track wasn't even close to Harry's lowest. And Harrys least streamed album track did 3 times more than Ed's least streamed track.

But then Ed has tracks on hundreds of playlists and hundreds of remixes and all generate fake album streams, please occ, be smart and change the rules :D

I agree with that 500k streams should mean more than 7k sales!

 

Difference in terms of Ed is that he released way more tracks before album release!

All credit to Harry, that must be one of the better second day holds for an album bomb so I guess his audience must be eating it up despite the pretty mixed to negative reactions that I've seen for the most part. (I'll reserve judgement until I've listened to it of course, I at least know I do like 'As It Was' a lot, easily his best lead single imo although I liked most of the later 'Fine Line' singles a lot more than 'Lights Up' in fairness)

 

Ooh at Måneskin still being in the top 40 of the Spotify-with-OCC-rules chart, hopefully they won't have too big of a second week drop then. 'Father Time' top 30 there hopefully bodes well for that making the official top 40 this week too although won't be surprised if it ends up just missing out. 'N95' and 'Die Hard' both still holding pleasingly high at the moment as well.

Harry songs remarkably stable on Apple, his lowest (Love of My Life) is back up a place to #19!

Russ Millions' Reggae and Calypso still doing circa 120-150k daily streams 3 months after release on his independent label. Love to see it. BABA his next single, which will be another hit judging by the traction it had on TikTok, comes out on Thursday.

Hope Father Time Ft Sampha can be Kendricks third highest track this week to get 4 top 40s and the single in there for one week too!

From what I've heard so far (about half), got to say I'm a bit disappointed. I loved his first album, sounded like he was aiming to be the next Bowie. But the new stuff doesn't have the same spark for me.

Pitchfork crucified Equals and the other day they gave the worst review ever to Jack Harlow, so clearly not afraid to tell it like it is

Harry's whole album is in the Spotify top 15 for a third day, in fact he has 12 of the top 13 today as well as the top 7 still, and Matilda has replaced Sushi Restaurant as the 3rd highest.
