Number 2 selection for this week - we’re once again in a period with a high volume of 1 weekers at the top but much fewer records peaking at #2.

I think my favourites are the first 2 and the last 2. :)

891 La Roux – In For The Kill 2009

892 Michael Jackson – Man In The Mirror 2009

893 Mr Hudson feat. Kanye West – Supernova 2009

894 Sugababes – Get Sexy 2009

895 Jay-Z feat. Alicia Keys – Empire State Of Mind 2009

896 The Saturdays – Forever Is Over 2009

897 Robbie Williams – Bodies 2009

898 Westlife – What About Now 2009

899 Leona Lewis – Happy 2009

900 Rihanna – Russian Roulette 2009

901 Sidney Samson feat. Wizard Sleeve – Riverside (Let’s Go!) 2010

902 The Glee Cast – Don’t Stop Believin’ 2010

903 Jedward feat. Vanilla Ice – Under Pressure (Ice Ice Baby) 2010

904 Florence +The Machine feat. Dizzee Rascal – You Got The Dirtee Love 2010

905 Rihanna – Rude Boy 2010

906 Jason Derϋlo – Ridin’ Solo 2010

907 Tinie Tempah feat. Labrinth – Frisky 2010

908 K’naan – Wavin’ Flag (Coca Cola Celebration Mix) 2010

909 Eminem feat. Rihanna – Love The Way You Lie 2010

I'd endorse In For The Kill, if only to hear it without "mmm mmm"s over the top. LTWYL seems like a must for these sections (then again, I thought the same of Foundations), but as some of the #1s which held it at #2 won't be until the following session, I guess it can have another chance then?

I'd also nominate Empire State Of Mind and, why not, Glee Cast :cheeseblock:

Wow this is not a vintage #2s week for me

Eminem feat. Rihanna – Love The Way You Lie

Glee Cast – Don’t Stop Believin’ (sorry I had to)

Robbie Williams – Bodies

It's not one of my absolute favourites from him but I'd quite like 'Man In The Mirror' to be played if we're going to be forced to hear the Cascada trash that kept it off #1.

Failing that my top 3 picks would be 'Supernova', 'Empire State Of Mind' and 'Wavin' Flag' (I'm a little surprised the latter hasn't had more mentions!) with a shoutout to the Skream remix of 'In For The Kill' (that'd be one of my picks over ESOM if it was the main version of the song). 'Bodies' and 'You've Got The Dirtee Love' are good too from ones that have already been mentioned. I liked 'Love The Way You Lie' at the time but I don't think it's aged that well, certainly would be an appropriate play though given it was the EOY #1.

Totally forgot that Westlife had a #2 hit as late as 2009 :drama:

La Roux, Eminem/Rihanna and Jay Z/Alicia

Do people prefer Part I or II of Empire State of Mind? I know Part II was only #4 but given it’s not a #1 we can play whatever we prefer.

Likewise does anyone have a view on Love The Way You Lie Part II? I like that version.

(Not promising either will be played at all. ;) )

Original version for ESOM pleeeease. The 'part 2' might be fine if it existed in isolation but as it is it's clearly inferior.
After a couple of weeks of abnormally good time management I'll probably miss the first song or two again this week :kink:

sorry had to drop out as usual and missed the last part

where did you finish?

and what #2s did you play? :)
