Hello once again, and welcome pop fans, to the 10th edition of the Pop Forum Song Contest! :welcome:

Thank you to the 31 different individuals have sent in a song that they feel represents the spirit of this song contest! No theme was chosen this time, which meant that a wide variety of pop songs could be sent in for this contest. For a couple of you, this will be your very first Pop Forum Song Contest and we all warmly welcome you here! :hi:

As a brief reminder, how this works is that this is an anonymous contest, so please refrain from revealing or hinting at your entry until after the results are over!

Please vote for your favourite songs by scoring each song a positive number in your Top 15 using the standard scoring system used for this contest in the past;

Wow I could recognise a few of them here. Really pleased to see a good number of foreign language songs in this contest so I'm expecting a lot from these entries!

This contest is all about discovering the best pop music. For those who don’t know, we are nowhere near as harsh with vetoes as other contests on the site. Wardy, you have nothing to apologise for. ☺️

You're quite right Rollo, and I took the instructions from the template I used in 2020 when I hosted this same contest, I didn't even think to check if rules had changed since that time, despite participating in other PFSC contests since that time.

 

As long as everyone else is ok with this song being included in this contest, and as Cameron has given the ok, I trust this will be ok for this, but in the future if I am ever called upon to host again, I will make sure that rule is done away with.

Thanks for that Rob, updated now but yes to confirm Saturday is the deadline (one week from voting window opening as standard).

Well I used the version from the video link shared by that participant, so the YouTube link you see is the one they sent. If this means I need to alter the Spotify song please can they let me know.

I've heard like 3 of these songs (2 if we don't include my entry) lmao. I've heard of a couple more artists, but I don't think I've heard the songs that have been sent by them. Majority of these will be discoveries to most people I assume. If they're not, great for you for being on top of and discovering new music I guess lmao. (It's not like I've even heard of the tracks either - sometimes you don't need to know the artist or song to know if it's "cheap")
