Tension (the song) and Things We Do For Love have leaked in full. :o

I won’t be listening yet. 10 weeks in advance of the album feels way too soon to start spoiling the album for myself.

Hmm might check out the title track as I’ve been intrigued by the little snippet that’s been going round on Twitter and I want to decide properly if it should be pushed as the second single.
I was tempted when it all kicked off in April/ May and heard a snippet of Hands and Tension amongst others…but stopped myself from listening to anything else. It just felt too weird so far in advance of the release date. She’ll be getting my streams and sales in September haha.
I have a bunch of concerts I want to go to in August, so I'm pretty busy familiarizing myself with catalogs of those artists that I feel I can keep off until September!
Out of the three leaks, Hold On to Now is the best and most single worthy.
I do enjoy the "Hold on to now / Hump me like Bow Wow Wow" lyric.
It looks like it was a false alarm, thankfully!

According to somebody on Popjustice, the leaked clip of Tension (the song) has amassed over 1 million views. That's amazing. Clearly there's hype there for that song, so I hope BMG don't ignore it

Let's hope the Hype kicks in if it does get released.

It is a shame the leaks have happened huns but I cant see it impacting sales as most people stream these days and the people that buy phsyicals these days either do so to collect, support and artist or dont stream as much or listen to things digitially as much.

I have heard the songs huns and Tension to me sounds like a really current fun song. The closest thing to Padam so I think they should release that song next hun.

The lyrics are fun and cheeky. I love HOTN but that sounds very Kylie, which is great but it doesnt really appeal much outside of Kylies fanbase. Where as Tension would probably appeal more in my opinion.

So excited for the album. I have everything on pre order at the moment and I expect a few extra cassettess or vinyls to drop release week.

Just Carol Honey ❤️

I am still looking forward to release date and midnight when it hits Spotify and I can have my first full listen with the headphones on and rate the songs on First listen out of 10, then another listen and we can all compare. DISCO During the Pandemic was so good for is all to do this
Assuming 'Hold On to Now' is next as rumoured, they've probably already filmed the video and got the rollout planned so would be a bit too late to change it.
Wasn't it said that they had the next 2-3 singles already planned? It wouldn't surprise me if they've filmed videos for more than Padam Padam and Hold On to Now to be honest, especially with them knowing she'll be tied up in Vegas for the last quarter of the year.

She said on that Indian radio show that she had to contact Sophie about the next 2 videos. That was 4-5 weeks ago so I am guessing it's getting done.

Plus the Netflix The Residence to film. Wasn't it supposed to to have her singing one of the songs from Tension ?

When do we think she'll start rehearsals for the residency?

10 out of 10! :music:

I'd say the same, she has an extremely period coming so I'd say they are covering as much as they can now to free up time for later in the year.

When asked about the potential of collaborating with Kylie Minogue, who is also signed to the same label as Rita, she expressed her admiration for the Australian icon. Rita acknowledged that Kylie’s ability to reinvent herself and maintain a long-lasting career is inspiring.
Kylie doesn't need to associate with flops like Rita xoxo

Popjustice forums members are absolutely loving Tension. Some very exciting descriptions…!

I have definitely gone overboard with how many posts I’ve copy/pasted here. :kink: I’ve just never seen such unanimous high praise for a Kylie song there. Even Padam Padam didn’t quite inspire this level of excitement until it showed signs of smashing. It’s also way beyond the middling-to-positive comments Hold On To Now has had there.

A couple of lyric spoilers by the way…

Tension has got to be the next single - what a robotic crunchy anthem! Better than Padam for me.

Oh, Tension is a HIT! @BMG I'm begging you, don't mess this up.

I knew I was gonna love it from the original snippet, but good God, I was not prepared for the pop-heaven that Tension is. The “do-do-do-do” in the pre-chorus. I have ascended. She needs to release this next. Edit: Guys I literally can’t stop hitting the play button over and over.

It’s gonna have to be Tension for the next single. It’s just got to be!

Tension is the Girls Aloud x Xenomania Vs Kylie Minogue bonkers banger I always wanted.

Allowed myself one listen to Tension. I'm shaking you guys.

The title track is almost Xenomania in it’s brilliance!!

I’d say sonically it sounds more like a sped up version of Girls Aloud - The Show (than Sexy! No No No…)

Tension is actually a lot more surprising than I thought it'd be based on the snippet, almost sounds like something Xenomania would've done where there's about 3 or 4 different bops smashed together. It's very Girls Aloud, somehow. Excellent follow-up.

Tension doesn’t have the slightly gimmicky novelty appeal of Padam but its a far superior song. Pop at its best: it’s an easy top 20 if they release it next.

Those sex robot vocals on the Tension chorus are so hot!

It's like Skirt given a hot makeover.

That la la la outro and the robotic vocals on "Tension", giving the gays what they truly want.

Tension is absolutely brilliant, I already prefer it to Padam Padam if I'm honest. This has to be the second single surely!

They are blind if they don't see the follow up potential of Tension going from Padam.

That call me Kylie-le-le line, too good. She is the moment.

The title track is an immediate discography highlight and genuinely one of the most exciting pop songs I’ve heard in years, she is absolutely insane-you can literally hear how aware of the serve she is, that ‘WOAH’ towards the end like? A triumph. Not releasing this as the next single would be the biggest mistake of her career teebs.

Tension sounds like a song that Little Mix would be smashing with if they were still going in 2023.

Tension absolutely slaps but there's something quite tender about it too.

Tension is an undeniable smash

Tension is really good. I love the line “call me Kylie -lay-lay, don’t imitate -tate-tate”

The title track KNOCKS. What an eleven. Biff Stannard you are a god x

Call me crazy, but the bass line of Tension reminds me of the bass line Haddaway’s What Is Love. Manifesting a mashup.

After listening to Tension in full… yeah, they have another hit on their hands. They’d be crazy not to release it as the follow-up.

Hmm kinda love Tension. Can't really compare it to anything and the concept/lyrical play is actually well done. I'll be gagged if this album is a true return to form for her.

I totally get what was being said about Tension sounding like different songs in one. It’s a vibe. I love it.
