Last night was everything - it was more of a party than just a listening party, Kylie was dancing behind the DJ box as the album was playing, she also came out into the crowd to sing PP (there was also some impromptu verses of BTDYK, WCAT and some others).

 

The album is incredible, I couldn’t really take it all in but it’s peak Kylie and everything sounded like a hit.

 

Managed to get a picture with Kylie and a few things signed, she seemed to genuinely enjoy the night and it feels very much that she’s having her ‘moment’ right now.

No, a friend had a media invite and I was there +1!

 

Peak fan moment to be honest - it was a press launch but it seemed like 99% of the audience were fans rather than being there in a professional capacity :lol:

I'm surprised that no one has acknowledged the fact that the full (standard) album has surfaced in HQ. Someone broke the tension and leaked it, it seems...

I heard some album preorders were dispatched early so it got leaked because some fans got it earlier than the release date!

I'm waiting until midnight Thursday. I want to stream in order and with no distractions

A few friends have asked me too - I don’t mind picking up extras as I only work a few minutes from the store but will need to see if they have any restrictions on the vinyl (it might be capped at 2 per person etc.,) but if I can get one I’ll let you know on Friday morning.

HMV must have had quite a few signed CDs to sell as it went straight to the top of the pre-orders best selling chart ahead of the HMV exclusive vinyl and cd. I wolud have thought the Vinyl would have sold 1-1.5k? so maybe 2k of signed CDs?

As much as she calls herself a proud Aussie, and I'm sure she is - she's at her best, most genuine and happiest when she's in the UK. Somewhere inside, she knows that the UK is the one country that stood by her thick and thin and despite a certain amount of negativity from the press and critics through the years, overall the UK has always made her feel more at home than Australia ever has or can.

Yes, I’m sure they got the bulk of the allocation - I’m guessing she’s signed an insane amount over an extended period and some will be at the pop up shop too.

 

I’m glad their not limited - it gives fans a chance to buy them plus the resellers for eBay are buying too which gives an extra sales boost!

It wasn’t initially - it was unlimited on HMV and Townsend, hence 500+ posts on eBay with multiple copies for sale.

 

That’s why I’m pleased it’s still available, the resellers have boosted sales while fans have had a chance to get a copy.
