^^ Agree, it’s such a shame to see the album market changing.

 

I mean Kylie is passing silver on week 3 and less than 20 new albums have achieved that this week but it really feels like there is a big shift change for artists from physical to digital, the signs have been there for years and I guess the fact that ‘mainstream’ locations like supermarkets are not heavily stocking physicals has a bigger impact.

Remember we had the deluxe vinyl and the glow in the dark version for DISCO. I mean the only "deluxe" version of Tension we have is the gatefold one and that's been sold-out on her store since release week!

I think in week 1 the standard CD was £4.99 on Amazon to match the Little Mix reduction - I don’t remember anything else being reduced.

OK so will finish the week at 2500 perhaps, which is good for a 3rd week's sales in 2023.

Based on that Kylie should stay top 30 in the album and tension will stay top 100 in the singles.

2500-3000 looks likely given there’ll be a bit of streams missing.

 

 

At this point I'm thinking 2,900?

 

Sales up to the end of Monday i.e. Tuesday midweek = 1,687

It sold 340 copies on Monday, let's just say it sells that each day for the rest of the midweeks: 340 + 340 + 340 = 2,707

Take into account that a missing day of streaming is added, I think that would possibly around 200? So 2,900+.

 

Beverley Knight sold 2,868 at #39 last week. If it's the case that this week has weaker sales across the board than last week, hopefully Kylie won't find herself at the bottom of the Top 40. However I'm not feeling confident that it'll remain Top 30.

Aries posted on their stories what looked to be a mock-up of a vinyl jacket and looks like it says Tension and "edition" underneath. So could be deluxe edition or extended?
