I think Extension will fall badly :nocheer: Streaming is minimal and those who wanted the vinyl have likely bought it already. Could easily see it being #35+ on Friday. On the plus side as sales are not combined it’ll be another charting ‘album’ for Kylie.

 

I think with the iTunes reductions etc., that Tension might (just) cling onto the Top 75.

Sales in the top 5 are all higher than when Kylie reissue started at 3 so hopefully we’ll see some sales data.

Its not going to get that combined chart position. How embarassing for BMG........

She could have been tip 10 and more prominent in shops like HMV over the week leading up to Xmas but now may not be even top 40 and just a couple of CDs on many shop shelves

It really has no material impact whatsoever aside from hardcore Kylie fans caring about whether the album makes one additional week in the top 10/20. It will make exactly the same amount of money for Kylie and BMG either way.

 

 

You're dreaming if you think that Extension not being combined with the normal album will have any impact whatsoever to HMV sales or any other sales.

Yep in HMV there’s no obvious chart displays…recent and prominent albums are displayed equally as most people just go in and buy purposefully, casual sales are a rapidly diminishing occurrence.

 

I’d like a proper vinyl sale though….most albums are just priced so high in HMV, catalogue vinyl was often under £20 pre COVID, now the same albums are £30 etc.

Brilliant news on Apple Music as Tension has risen to 28 on their current most streamed albums in UK. It was 74 on Sunday! Extension also remains strong at 37 :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:
