Can’t see it shifting 20k in 4-6 weeks, that would mean it would need to sell 3.3-5k a week?

Am just thinking is sales reductions etc. Vinyls, downloads,Boxing day promo, CDs etc. + Streaming

Maybe - but those kinds of numbers it would need to sell to reach it in that timeframe would have it in the Top 10-15 for the whole of Jan and I just don’t see it sadly.

 

I’m sure they’ll be reductions but there will be for everything else too.

rolling Stones doing a limited time CD reduction from 11.99 to 7.99. This is what they should do with Tension. A day of £6.99 albums then back to normal price

I think it'll be within 10k of gold by then. Close but not quite close enough.

Hopefully we get an update tomorrow and on where it is in the chart but all going well it will add another 2.5k this week at the lowest.

Judging by the midweeks it's tracking for around 1,100 this coming week, to take it to 71,000!

So even my estimations for its weeks spent outside of the Top 100 were actually a bit too generous. Somebody has kindly shared with me that Tension’s total on 01/12/2023 stood at 70,546. Add on 3,996 on 15th Dec takes it to 74,542. We don’t know what it sold on 8th Dec at #197. Maybe 1,200? So in that case its total would be approaching 75,800. Less than the 76k-77k I thought it might be.
