28/1! Ouch, still probably too short mind.

I have a feeling Liverpool will win the league this season. The only silver lining to that will be they again will prevent City winning 3 in a row to match our record.

For relegation I'm gonna go Brentford (second season syndrome you watch), Fulham & Bournemouth. Forest will be this season's Sheffield United/Leeds/Brentford.

Early chance for payback against Brighton after we got our arses handed to us by them in May, Arsenal playing in the first match of the season again and away just like last season. Most likely will be another L for them. I can't imagine much change to standings from last season, top 2 will be the same and could go either way but I think City will win it again before the curse of no one being able to win 4 times in a row strikes in the 2023/24 season. Fulham are certainties to get relegated imo, the other 2 places are less clear cut.

From a Man Utd fan perspective though surely this season can't be as bad as the last season, it felt like our season ended in November and it just made it such a slow and excruciating season. Not expecting anything crazy but we've got to show a lot more fight than we did before.

Other teams have won it three years in a row - Liverpool and Arsenal!

Will be a weird one this year with the World Cup so could be a few shocks!

Yeah I agree with Steve - I think with the weird season, this could be a one for a shock if one was going to happen. Liverpool's fixtures fall pretty kindly as things stand, and we play a lot of the Top 6 away from home first (City aside). Good start and end to the season on paper.

Just think the difference pre the World Cup at least is our squad will be weaker than the end of the last season, whilst City's will be stronger with us signing project players.

Ouch, this gives me bad vibes, opening match for Arsenal yet again, Arsenal losing the opening match last year with Brentford at home.

Leeds and Burnley have dropped the threat of legal action against Everton and the Premier League over the Toffees' finances.

Everton have posted £372m losses over three years, which is above the Premier League allowance of £105m.

That figure also included £170m losses attributed to Covid-19, which can be written off, although the scale of those losses also caused surprise.

We're currently leading Liverpool 3-0 in a pre-season friendly in Bangkok, even Fred has managed to get on the score sheet. All well and good doing this now but can we do this when it really counts?
My educated guess is no... also Liverpool fielded a reserve team whereas ours didn't look far off full strength.
Not watched any of the game whatsoever but the overreaction and excitement is hilarious. It’s a friendly and sounds like Liverpool could have easily banged in 4 goals as well. Good for the bragging rights though but the result will be forgotten about in a days time.
