It hasn't happened yet but if Leicester were to get relegated I think that would arguably be the most shocking relegation of all time. This is a team that narrowly missed out on Champions League qualification 2 and 3 years ago, especially in the 2019/20 season when they were in the top 4 all season until the last week or so. Also they won the FA Cup in 2021 and when you look at their squad it's largely the same players that were there then that are still there now.

Police have charged a man with assault and entering the field of play after Eddie Howe was confronted by a pitch invader at Elland Road.
Absolutely. Brighton are very similar to what Swansea were 10 years ago and now look at them.

Yeh well run clubs but not establishment so they could fall away!

Yeh I certainly wouldn’t have predicted them to be relegated in August but apart from Man United, Arsenal, Chelsea, Spurs, Liverpool and City any club can fall away imo!

That was one of the worst performances at this stage of the season by a title chasing team I've ever seen. Brighton absolutely done them!

It just makes Monday’s horror show against Everton even harder to understand.

Arsenal look gassed and psychologically they look beaten. Their fans are beaten too. Going up against this City juggernaut is mentally taxing - it's why I find it hard to call Arsenal bottlers. they messed up a great opportunity, sure. But this City team can just go on 10-15 winning game runs and it completely got in everyone's head at Arsenal. Suppose either Arsenal or Chelsea will take Caicedo in the summer, and MacAllister looks Liverpool bound.

It's a bit cliched but there have been plenty of occasions when a side with experience of a title run-in has triumphed over a side without such experience. This season now looks certain to provide another example. Much as I don't want Man Cheaty to buy another title, I'm obviously delighted that Brighton have delivered the killer blow.
Having seen brief highlights of the Arsenal v Brighton game, Arteta's body language spoke volumes. When Brighton went ahead he looked resigned to defeat rather than being determined to turn things around. Not that I'm complaining
Leicester certainly look done after that result against Liverpool. They'd need to pull something major out the bag - looks like their fans have turned against them and their collapse after going a goal behind was crazy. Everton, Forest and Leeds look like they have a bit of fight in them, so I give them all half a chance of getting 3 points which I think will be enough.

Nottingham Forest have been fined £50,000 for a pitch invasion following their Championship play-off semi-final win over Sheffield United last season.

Forest won the match on penalties in May 2022 but Blades striker Billy Sharp was knocked to the ground by a fan when crowds ran on to the City Ground pitch.

A Forest season ticket holder was later jailed for headbutting Sharp and also given a 10-year football banning order.

Half of the fine has been suspended until the end of the 2023-24 season.

From BBC Sport:

Brentford striker Ivan Toney has been banned from football for eight months after he accepted breaking Football Association betting rules.

Toney has also been charged £50,000 and warned about his future conduct for 232 breaches of the FA's betting rules.

His suspension starts immediately, but the 27-year-old can return to training with Brentford four months before it ends on 17 September.

He will not be allowed to play again until 17 January, 2024.

They Joey Barton case set the precedent, but 8 months feels very harsh. I think the whole thing has been handled very badly - he should have been suspended when the charges were annouced and the suspension counts as part of any punishment. Feel sorry for him on a personal level as he was a lock on to move to Spurs/Man Utd in the summer.

If Everton had lost, Leeds could have gone above them with a draw tomorrow, now they'll need to win.
The relegation battle is guaranteed to go down to the last day of the season now. Can't wait for next Sunday!
Awoyni turned in to Haaland for the last few games of the season! Can't believe how meek Arsenal became. The Liverpool game at Anfield absolutely rocked them.
