Sadly it fell short of making the top 40 (peaked at #42) but it's still ROSALÍA's 'MOTOMAMI' for me  so excited to see her perform songs from it live in December.

Definitely, it was a pioneering spanish language album with a nice collab with the Weeknd!

"Hey Siri Seven, what is the best album of 2022?"

"The best album of 2022 is Ants From Up There by Black Country, New Road"

Avril Lavigne - Love Sux

It's 'MOTOMAMI' for me as well so to add a new album to the thread I think my #2 album of the year to date is Let's Eat Grandma's 'Two Ribbons' - before release it already contained my favourite song of 2021 ('Hall Of Mirrors') and a song that's very close to being my favourite song of 2022 so far ('Happy New Year') so it was going to be hard for the album to not be great based on that alone, but they went 8 for 8 on songs that are at minimum really good (and 'Watching You Go'/'Insect Loop' aren't that far off the quality of those two singles).

Β

Kendrick Lamar is also up there, as is the more obscure (i.e. didn't chart at all) pick of 'Heaven, Wait' by Ghostly Kisses.
