With a handful of contenders currently being talked about for the next number one, this seems like an apt time for a poll to see who people think it will be.

LF System- Afraid To Feel probably but hoping for Beyonce.

LF System hopefully although Beyoncé getting her first #1 in over a decade would be welcomed too. I'd definitely rule out Cat Burns now :kink:

Difficult one, Kate Bush is not doing as well anymore but still >500K a day on Spotify

 

LF System is not that far behind, which is incredible for a dance song to even get close to 500K a day on Spotify... but needs the extra push to do like 100K more a day, which I cannot see how... best chance is probably in 1 month time or something

 

The Beyonce song is definitely a grower, first time I listened I was super disappointed and couldn't even finished, but second time I was already hooked... so could be a grower for most people...

I'd be very surprised if it's Beyonce - the track is an absolute stinker and super underwhelming - even her hardcore fans must secretly be disappointed. It's an ever-diminishing output from her, I expected so much more.

I personally would rule out Cat Burns and Joji, Cat just has no chance and Joji would need to pick up even more on other platforms but can’t see it happening. Voted for LF SYSTEM more in hope than expectation but I feel Beyoncé also has a chance, could be either of them. It just depends when Kate and Harry go to ACR.

We might actually not be having a new #1 for quite a while with Kate and Harry both on course for an increase this week.

was looking at the Stranger Things schedule and the final episode with more KB included airs in 2 weeks, so that week KB will be over the roof and surefire #1 (and possibly the week after that too)

but next week KB should keep dropping, so maybe LF System has a chance next week or even Beyonce if the song grows/releases the video

I think Kate will hold on for a bit longer, especially with the incoming boost from the final two episodes. But i think either Bey or LF SYSTEM are most likely to be the next #1. I think cat burns can be ruled out as a contender now though as she will probably continue to drop

I hope LF System can do it but knowing our luck we’ll probably get Lewis Crapaldi comeback and that’ll spend the next 11 weeks at number one.

Tough one. If Kate avoids a decline this week (now looking more likely), she could be #1 for a few more weeks. If she does decline, goes to ACR after next week and doesn't get another reset, that's really the only way I can see LF System grabbing a week or two, or potentially Joji though he's a long way off. I don't see Beyoncé getting to #1 although it's early days for her. So I think it's more likely to be something new that comes along in the next month or so - Lewis Capaldi if he releases perhaps, but even then #1 wouldn't be a given.
