so not much of an effect for Kate Bush then :/ really thought it was gonna propel it back much higher

 

It's gained decently globally. Back to #1 there with just over 7 million streams vs ~5.8 million a few days ago. It's likely that it being a massive hit the last few weeks has meant the boost hasn't been as big. But a sizeable boost nontheless that'll help with its longevity. :cheer:

 

Kate Bush getting what will likely be one of the most streamed songs in 2022 is quite amazing. :cheer:

guess Metallica are coming for a top 100 entry then but even if it makes further gains this week I don’t expect OCC will be so kind to them as with Kate Bush. even though the song has never charted before.

Didn't realise until last night that 'Master Of Puppets' had never charted before - was it not released as a single in the UK or was it just a flop that's gone on to become a classic anyway? :thinking: Will be great to see it (most likely) finally registering a chart position now anyway! Nirvana and Metallica both having "new" hits in 2022 :cheeseblock:

 

(Also an 8 and a half minute song in the Spotify top 40 we love to see it)

I am guessing Everybody Wants To Rule The World and Should I Stay Or Should I Go were on this Stranger Things programme that I don't watch? Should I Stay Or Should I Go of course got to #1 in the UK in 1991 after being on the telly too, in its case a Levi's advert.

Not too bothered about Kate going back to ACR this week now as it seems the new episodes of ST haven't really boosted it that much in the end (it is up ~40k from this day last week) - I expect it's still going to be top 10 for a while yet anyway, happy for LF SYSTEM to take over at #1.

Not surprised Metallica is getting a decent response as it was very central to the final episode. It probably wont go to No1 but its not really they type of song that would anyway.

 

From what I've watched RUTH is important but doesnt get a specific new play, plus its already doing a decent amount so at a high level already.

oh nice to see Metallica take another big jump today.

I don't expect they'll have much staying power though seeing as it is a 9 minute long song, but at least they'll easy get that top 100 $ma$h.
