Tears was bad. Rollercoaster is very forgettable. It's cool these two songs didn't make it on the album.

You Go Your Way is pretty cool ! It sucks she didn't have a little success with it but it's good she kept the song on the album.

I kind of can, because it happened to all the others (barring Jade)

  • Apparently a fan spoke to Perrie on DM's and she confirmed there was still a long wait until the next single... Kinda worried when she celebrated one year of FAU she made no references to more music.

It's not as if the other songs we've heard that are included are exactly a world of difference.

It's almost like , yeah we writing the album from scratch but best put FAU on to guarantee it has a hit

I'm here for the quick turn around to get an album out. Glad FAU and YGYW made the cut as those are 10/10 imo. I would have added Rollercoaster too as thats a cute bop, but excited to hear a full album from her!

I still think if YGYW was either the lead single or follow up to FAU she would have been in a very different position to what she ended up in with ‘Tears’ being the follow up.

Especially the rock remix. Although iirc wasn’t ‘Tears’ released like a week before ‘Angel Of My Dreams’? Not that that should have mattered (it really bugs me that people don’t think two songs released by friends at the same time can’t both smash and why we HAVE to choose etc.. lol)

Just announced! The album is called “Perrie” and is out on the 26th september

Perrie announces her hugely anticipated debut solo album, self-titled “Perrie”. Releasing 26th September via Columbia Records.

“Perrie” is an eclectic and diverse record, with nods to Perrie’s Rock’n’Roll-influenced childhood, Motown, Disco, Country, 80s and of course bright, bold pop! The unifying thread is Perrie’s strong, soaring vocals that fearlessly grapple with each melody and top note.

The record will include previously released singles, “Forget About Us”, “You Go Your Way” and “If He Wanted To He Would”.

That level of honesty is so refreshing and is one of the reasons why I really like Perrie. You can tell she's aware of the criticism her solo career has garnered and it must affect her considering how badly she struggles with anxiety already.

I'm not really happy with the amount of people on Twitter criticising her for saying she doesn't want to get involved in politics (or something) and comparing her activism to Jade. As mentioned Perrie has quite severe anxiety and if she's more comfortable just singing bops and keeping things safe PR wise then that's well within her rights to do so. Some people aren't comfortable speaking out about issues or drawing attention to themselves and that's fine. You just have to look at the media coverage Jade got for her anti-JK chants and how so many people in the comments attacked or ridiculed her.

Jade herself launched criticism at Matt Healy for the same thing and nobody on here criticises her for that. You don't have to be as vocal as Jade has been but you can still respectfully stand up for what you think is right in social and political issues.

Grabbed the signed vinyl - I can’t believe it’s out so soon!

I like this rollout. No endless waits! She announced her single, few weeks later it's released; a month later, the album is out. No messing about! Looking forward to this!

Jade is the fans' fave, so she can do no wrong 😆

In all seriousness though, I don't think artists need to be vocal about political opinions. Sometimes, a genuine opinion requires adequate information, which many often don't have. There is so much bandwagonism and virtue signalling nowadays that one has to sit down, sift through the noise and get their facts right before voicing opinions. She's not a politician or a social

activist. She's a singer that wants to just do her thing.

If you have opinions you want to express, scream them from the rooftops; if you don't, it's okay to keep quiet and focus on your art.

I do agree you don't need to scream from the rooftops, but I have no time for people who actively say they don't want to comment on political or social economic issues. Take the time to find out, staying quiet can actually make you part of the problem. By all means I don't expect her to shout out f*** JK Rowling at her concert shows, but she should be able to say in an interview if asked "I support trans women" or "I don't know much about it but I do / don't think it seems fair to make winter fuel payment means tested, I'd have to look into it more."

I hear what you’re saying but Perrie does have extreme anxiety. You only have to watch her in interviews and she’s moving her hands / seems nervous in a lot of them. She covers it up well but I can see the signs.

The backlash from even saying ‘I support trans rights’ would be bad it was for Jade. We also know she had issues surrounding paps / the media taking pics of her on holiday etc and asked fans not to share those pics because she was insecure about her stomach / what she looked like.

So I honestly dont think she would handle any backlash well at all, even in the recent interview it’s clear the negativity surrounding her singles / underperformance had a pretty extreme impact on her mental health with her agoraphobia

So in Perrie’s case I wouldn’t expect her to stand up for anything however big or small based on the fact her mental health is clearly very fragile at times.

That being said I’m sure in an interview if she was asked outright on certain topics she would answer I just don’t think she would actively seek to express her views on political topics, especially when she’s said multiple times performing is her safe space.

My worst 2 of the songs so far making the cut 😂 but I can see why they did

Still look forward to seeing what the full album is like

I’m quite shocked that the albums actually going ahead and so soon!

It is good that it’s happening though. I truly thought it had been shelved for the time being but I’m intrigued at what else could be on there and really hope there’s some ballads on there what showcase the vocals.

I'm not gutted at any of the songs left off, I suppose Tears was the only proper single of those tracks anyway and it was always a really limp follow-up to Forget About Us.

Glad we're getting the album finally, Perrie's voice has always been my favourite of the Little Mix girls so I hope the material's as good as the three singles she's included in the tracklist.
