I feel like Vogue doesn’t belong in this. I know it’s on the soundtrack but it was more tagged on to generate sales than actually anything to do with the film wasn’t it?

I wouldn't have Vogue or Hanky Panky here... neither of them actually appeared in the Dick Tracy movie, they were just "inspired" by it (though how Vogue is inspired by Dick Tracy is beyond me). I almost feel like leaving Vogue here will just give a runaway winner?

I've gone for Playground - overlong, repetitive and generally YAWN.

Suitcase - didn't need to be a single

and - controversially - Beautiful Stranger - which I've never liked and Austin Powers in the video makes it unbearable.

I don’t even believe Vogue was inspired by the movie. It was made from sessions to create a b-side to the Like a Prayer era and basically was inspired by the house music movement as Shep wanted to experiment with that sound. There’s a reason it’s just tagged on the end of the album

I was a bit on the fence with Vogue for that reason too but figured it did ultimately feature on a soundtrack album. I can remove it if we feel it shouldn’t be here though (I’m siding with doing so).

I’be voted for:

Vogue - for the reasons above

Another Suitcase - never go back to this and feels less essential than the other Evita singles

Look of Love - boring cover version

I would have to be Vogue, Another Suitcase in Anther Hall, Hanky Panky .

Look of Love - boring cover version

That boring you don’t even remember it’s an original song? :P

I’ve removed Vogue for the reasons stated (going to keep Hanky Panky because it was at least inspired by the music of not feature on the film) so do you and Hotlady want to choose another song to be eliminated?

:o

I've just had a quick listen and it isn't what I thought it was at all!!! I've always thought it was a dreary cover of the more famous Gershwin 'Look of Love' song - wow, that's one of those occasions where that assumption is so ingrained in my head that I would have sworn I'd heard her do the version

I’ve never been a big fan of American Pie so that’s one of the tracks I voted for alongside Argentina and hanky panky.

Just spotted your ask… I’ll go for American Pie - that’s a cover right?

 Changed for you.

I've gone with 'The Look of Love', 'This Used to Be My Playground' and 'Another Suitcase in Another Hall'. All pleasant but inessential.
