Becky Hill is arguably the biggest act in the charts right now. She has so many songs on it. Happy for her!

Biography

When Austin Post uploaded “White Iverson” to social media in early 2015, he was 19, scrounging for ramen and sleeping in a friend’s closet. Plenty has changed, but Post’s appeal is more or less the same. No matter how Platinum the records go, he still has the air of an ordinary guy, a Crocs-and-Bud Light kid from the suburbs who stumbled backward into fame just by strumming what was in his heart. Post didn’t just look beyond genre, he broke it down, mixing the dark grandeur of trap with the anthemic release of classic rock and country. His signature tracks—“rockstar”, “Sunflower”, “Congratulations”—were both bleak and beautiful, spaced-out and mainstream, hip-hop but not quite. The bass boomed, the melodies soared, and there was Post in the middle, rap-singing his woes like a lonely prince self-exiled in the castle. At live shows, there were no dancers, no pyrotechnics, just Post, in a baggy football jersey with a cigarette in his hand, bringing 60,000 people into his bedroom: The pop star as moody teen.

Born in 1995 in Syracuse, New York, and raised in the suburbs of Dallas, Post grew up on a mix of country, classic rock and rap: In one well-circulated anecdote, young Post would get called into the living room to entertain Dad and friends with the dance to Terror Squad’s “Lean Back”. He turned a love for the video game Guitar Hero into a love of actual guitar, playing in a metal band during high school while also starting to explore hip-hop. “White Iverson” led to Post’s 2016 debut, Stoney; beerbongs & bentleys burrowed further into Post’s luxurious, messy melancholy, while 2019’s Hollywood’s Bleeding found him buttoning up and moving closer to the conventions of mainstream pop, all while retaining his peculiar touch. - Apple Music

I doubt anyone’s under the influence enough at 4:20 to enjoy this

First time hearing this Chris Brown track, wouldn't mind if it was the last.

Abysmal from Chris Brown.

I'm surprised I Like You is having a sustained top 40 run, I do have a bit of a soft spot for it even if it's basic as anything.

I think a certain ex-1D member might have something to say about that.

Biography

Headie One

Honing his skills under the #OFB banner, North London rapper Headie One soon became one of drill's most engaging figures, finding national success alongside RV on the back of iconic mixtape Drillers & Trappers. Moving into solo work during the late 2010s, the rapper found his biggest success to date with 2019 mixtape Music X Road, which landed at number five on the U.K. album charts. Rising from the remnants of North London gang Tottenham Mandem, rap collective Star Gang soon became popular on the North London rap scene; the most notable of its members are Tottenham's Headie One (born Irving Adjei) and RV. From day one, the duo's synergy on the mike was evident. Working under the Star Gang moniker through the early 2010s, the pair released early singles like "Youngers from Farm," shifting between more traditional U.K. rap and U.S.-inspired trap for early mixtapes Headz or Tails (Headie One, 2014) and Sticks & Stones (Headie One & RV, 2016). Moving fully into the U.K.'s drill scene, the pair released third mixtape Drillers & Trappers the following year. It was here that the pair truly made their mark: working with producers like MKThePlug and M1OnTheBeat, the duo quickly built a following with their relentless flows and artistic synergy. Marking their singles with the tag #OFB, the duo soon formed drill collective Original Farm Boys, an homage to the Broadwater Farm Estate where they grew up. Headie continued through the late 2010s with a series of individual releases. His second solo mixtape, The One (2018), produced some of his biggest hits to date, with "Golden Boot" and "Know Better" soon becoming drill staples. After closing out 2018 with third tape The One Two, Headie kicked off 2019 with the long-awaited sequel to Drillers & Trappers, enlisting RV's help for the 13-track set Drillers X Trappers II. Heralded by the Top Ten-charting single "18Hunna," the rapper's fourth tape, Music X Road, arrived later that year; with features including Skepta, Dave, and NAV, the release pushed Headie's brand of drill into new, inventive directions. A strong working relationship with producer Fred Again resulted in the late-2019 single "Charades" before the duo linked up in early 2020 for experimental mixtape GANG. Headie's debut studio album, EDNA, arrived in October 2020: comprising a wide portfolio of styles from trap to drill, the project offered a comprehensive account of Headie's life and career, with some of the rapper's most personal writing to date. - Apple Music

Abra Cadabra

Emerging from the notorious Broadwater Farm Estate in Tottenham, North London, alongside fellow rappers Headie One, RV & rap collective OFB, Abra Cadabra, known in the scene as ‘Abz’, is no stranger to the game. Though now, we’re really beginning to feel the force of the rapper's aggressive versatility. With a string of tracks including his first Top 40 Single ‘On Deck’ and his debut charting mixtape ‘Product Of My Environment’, Abra is here to stay. - Spotify

Bandokay

Kemani Kane Duggan (born 9 May 2001), known professionally as Bandokay (formerly stylized as BandoKay), is a British rapper. He is a member of the UK drill group OFB. Beginning his career in 2018 alongside fellow OFB rappers SJ and Double Lz, Bandokay would rise to fame in 2019 following the release of Frontstreet. The mixtape would peak at number 36 on the UK Albums Chart and was followed by Drill Commandmants, released in 2021. - Wikipedia

I like the version of this with Ella but the original is lacking imo

Nice to hear 'Sunroof' nothing wow worthy but a cool summer radio friendly sounding track. The remix of 'Big Energy' was a refreshing change as well.

I only know this song because of NOW 112. I reckon they’ll put the Ella version on NOW 113. And can’t believe Headie One got skipped

WTF was that short edit of I Like You (A Happier Song)?

I find it interesting that it's becoming a thing for songs to crack the Top 40 after lengthy stints in the Top 100, as seen by Sunroof and this song this week. This is sounding decent on first listen though!

Cian Ducrot Got better with Ella Henderson on it

This is sounding pleasant if a bit Dermot Kennedy-lite, my first time hearing! Can imagine Ella sounding good on it.

yes, love this! a million times better than Lewis Capaldi

glad the Ella version has made it top 40

I hope "Stay With Me" reaches the Top 10 this week.

The public really do lap these sappy piano ballads up don't they?

The Cian track is very nice. Such strong vocals.
