Tomorrow a certain year and a certain voter will take a bit of a battering and we start (potentially) to eliminate tracks that voters placed in their top 10!

I wondered why back in my first year at primary school, why I got sent out for singing 'Horny'.
It’s interesting to see up to 1994 how songs were stuck at no2 far longer than after that!
The Mousse T. song is kind of a bop but it's an awkward one to come on the radio lol ~

I guess from 1994, with the drop in prices in week 1, songs debuted at #2 rather than climb to #2,

same as with #1s

Yeh the 94/95 charts were fun as you get an in between period with chaos when the likes of ‘Think Twice’ had random chart runs!

I Luv U Baby and Horny were in consideration for my vote, both strong dance tracks.

I love I Swear <3 It's another slow male group song so what's new?

Toytown techno probably reached its chart peak with this track!

Give Me Just A Little More Time Kylie Minogue (Voter: Mark223- 8pts, AH Gold- 14pts)

(#2 for 1 week in February 1992 behind “Goodnight Girl” by Wet, wet, wet)

The first of Kylie’s three entries in the rate but there’s little love for this one!

Watching the TOTP 1992 episodes where this was charting - Kylie just about staying relevant by this era - things would fall further before legendary status was achieved by the decades end!

I kinda liked the Salt n Pepa one

The other 3 are terrible

Sesame's Treet is good, wasn't the Trumpton rave version in the chart at exactly the same time?

Love Kylie, and her two other songs still in this are legendary, but I really dislike Give Me Just A Little More Time, I can't sit through it in full.

I didn't know that version of 'Baker Street' existed before, let alone that it charted higher than the original. It didn't sound like it was awful from the clip but I think I'm probably good to stick to Gerry Rafferty.

According to Buzzjack's Favorite No 2 of The 80s buzzjackers love to 'push it' but they don't love to talk about sex. EDIT: My mistake

Sesame's Treet is great but I didn't have room for that!

Kylie's version of GJALMT is ok but her other 2 number 2s remaining are so much better.

^Push it was neither #1 nor the 90s :P

Sesame’s Treet isn’t bad but I do find that trend for mixing children’s TV themes and pretty overt drug references quite bizarre.

The Undercover cover is really decent actually.

Back to the boys (UK) debut with this cover!

Father & Son Boyzone (Voter: Mark223)

(#2 for 3 weeks in December 1995/ January 1996 behind “Earthsong” by Michael Jackson)

Another cover and another Boyzone track leaves the rate. They have just 1 entry left- will it make the top 100?

(#2 for 1 week in May 1992 behind “Please Don’t Go” by KWS)

Famously withdrawn from sale in week 1 due to an uncleared sample of Mark Cohn’s “Walking In Memphis”.

Fingers crossed, it should have definitely been one of their No.1 singles.

Both of those other Boyzone songs were not too far off my vote, particularly Love Me For A Reason, but ultimately I felt like I gave them enough support
