One of the more infectious songs of 1990 and proved inspirational for Dizzee Rascal 19 years later.

Aww, I'm coming for last in the posters chart update after the last two days!

One For Sorrow is a pop masterpiece (heavily influenced by The Winner Takes It All, which you can basically sing over the top of it). If Last Thing On My Mind proved they were more than a one-hit wonder then One For Sorrow proved they were here to stay. It had very high sales for a No.2 but I can't say I begrudge Manics their No.1, If You Tolerate This... is brilliant.

Ghetto Supastar wasn't too far away from my vote, so infectious. The song was never off the radio in 1998/1999.

That Pras song is awful, I thought it was a joke the first time I heard it, can't believe it was actually a big hit that people actually defend. Genuinely I'd sooner take the Comic Relief version :')

'Dirty Cash' was close to my points (I do prefer the Dizzee Rascal version ngl) and 'One For Sorrow' is one of the better Steps songs! (Though the Manics song >>>)

Unlucky for Steps to miss out in the chart to the Manics with what surely must be one of the greatest no1s of all time in terms of quality and lyrics!
First of my top 5 hit! I agree with ‘One For Sorrow’ being one of the best examples of pure 90s pop that’s on offer, also ‘Dirty Cash” is a tune. I’m indifferent to ‘Ghetto Superstar’.

With Boyzone falling from 1 to 3 that week, I believe that it was the first time outside of December that the top 3 all cleared 100,000 sales.

Week ending 1st Sept 1984 top 3 cleared 100k, George Michael, Stevie Wonder & Black Lace.

I think only the week before, Boyzone, Stardust and The Corrs had all cleared 100k
