I think The Sign made my top 3 of 1994 at the time - it's long since dropped off the map, but I still prefer it to All That She Wants. It's only Always Have, Always Will that I've stuck with from them.

Sit Down is an anthem in every sense, the middle eight spells it out.

Sit Down was a huge favourite when I was very young, and I still think it's great, although seeing James live I found very off-putting. Tim Booth is a monumental tit.

Love a bit of Confide In Me. I hadn't heard it before it was played on the chart show and I was amazed at how it sounded, even if I did immediately think it was a better version of the style Madonna went for on her Erotica era. Definitely still ranks as one of Kylie's very best songs.

Tender is good, albeit I don't listen to it very often. I still appreciate the different direction they took and it adds an extra dimension to their singles collection, I probably don't enjoy it as much these days as I did when it was released though.

The Sign and Sit Down are both okay but neither were that close to making my votes. Ace of Base just sound dated in general, my favourite of theirs was Always Have Always Will even though it sounds like nothing I would usually choose to listen to! James are one of those bands that I felt I should have liked more than I actually did. Born of Frustration remains my favourite song of theirs.

That'll be me then

2 former number ones from my charts there, I thought James would be higher. Both acts had a great run of singles.

Wow I knew losing nothing from 40-31 wouldn’t continue into the Top 30 for long but I didn’t think 30-21 would be that painful - 4 of my top 7 gone! Wind Of Change is such a rousing ballad, Sit Down is the perfect 90s song, Tender is epic and Crazy is just the coolest record ever. And I lost 17 with Bruce too - glad that has done well though.

The last 5 are all good

Took me ages to get into Tender, did not love it at first and even passed on the album but really love it now, such a grower of a song.

The Sign is great, I was actually convinced it had been #1, but it was in the US that went to #1... it's kinda funny cos All That She Wants was #2 in the US and #1 in the UK, while The Sign was #1 in the US and #2 in the UK.

Always liked James-Sit Down, not enough to buy the single or any album from the band but cannot denny it's a catchy song.

Streets of Philadelphia is the best out of the last 5, great song, I love how un-Springsteen it is, perfect song, great melody, lyrics, message, everything.

Crazy is decent too, think I give it 1 point.

Crazy is a great song, my favourite to depart so far. I was surprised how little it sold when Gezza was doing his 1991 weekly sales thread, at the time it felt really massive to me but it never really sold that many copies in a week. I also really like Alanis' cover of it.

Soooooooo close to getting my top 10 all through to the final 20 too!

10 of mine making the top 20. Not too shabby but I guess the bigger pointed ones really stinged somewhat.

I do spot two by title I'm not familiar with though.

15 of mine have made it also... with two more that finished just outside my top 30.

The other three weren't quite as close for me but it's completely understandable why they've made it this far and I'm happy that they represent a different style in the top 20.
