Please

Yeah Lover had a lot of promotion! (Tho that was the last era she promoted a lot). She did Graham Norton that era as well (tho it was performing Me! so no wonder why none of us want to remember it x). She also did strictly and a couple other UK bits + most of the big US award shows & SNL

forgive my poor memory, did she do sit down interviews though or just performances?

it depends on the direction of the record though right... there's no denying cardigan and willow wouldn't have been as successful without the hype of their album already being out as people were listening to the album and then those select singles. i think the 'Me' rollout has scared her a bit.

To be honest I think her choices for lead singles in many cases are a shambles. I hated and still to this day hate Shake It Off, Look What You Made Me Do and Me!, the last time I actually liked a lead single of hers was We Are Never... (not inc. Cardigan/Willow, they didn't really count, I love both of those)

Regardless though - some promo is better than none! Me! wasn't THAT big of a car crash

Hey kids....SPELLING IS FUN!

Nah but in all honesty, the excitement she has in Miss Americana about Me! does actually make me a bit sad.. she really thought it was going to be such a moment :(

So I read in the guardian that Midnights ‘marks an official return to “pop”’

Is that confirmed or they are just guessing? Or maybe it is obvious idk.

I think it's a guess, nobody knows

I'm amazed at how much she might have liked Me :D and that she has no one around telling her the truth (Me sucks) :D

Is this the article you were reading? https://www.theguardian.com/music/2022/oct/...hts-pop-acclaim

It seems like they are assuming it's a return to pop...I don't see how they could know for sure. We shall see soon! Whatever the sound, I'm ready for it!

I'm trying to trust Taylor that not giving us even a short clip or any indiciation of this era's sound will ultimately pay off on Friday. No doubt her fans are hyped, but I wonder how the public at large is responding to the drip feed of things like all the different formats, merch and song titles.

When she announced the album at the end of August I did assume we'd at last get a single in advance of the album, like Beyoncé with Break My Soul. Yet she's essentially done another folklore and evermore, just with an extended period of pre-orders.
