Just a couple of days now till these are released and we start getting an idea of how this might go. I'm hoping for it to be a close race to make it more interesting regardless of who comes out on top.

Taylor does seem to be pushing hard, just a bit of a shame her Graham Norton appearance is the week after album release

Can see taylor getting no. 1 the week after release like future nostalgia but pretty confident the arctics will win as their legacy has really been shown in recent years + there was a ticket on their tour where you get a CD + a ticket. thats 30K extra sales
I am kind of thinking it's going to be Taylor now purely because of her absurd level of multiformatting. I hope it's at least a good album. Idk how I feel about her having such a long lead up to the album with constant announcements of new formats etc. but not a single second of the actual music being released (afaia).

Arctics had a pre-release ticket code when purchasing a vinyl/CD from their website so that will be some extra sales (to which I contributed).

Hopefully they get the #1.

Taylor has the same thing now as well (although you can also sign up for the pre-sale without making a purchase)
Well she hasn’t really  She’s announced pre-sale codes for a tour that hasn’t officially been announced yet

And for the following week,

Maybe The Beatles Revolver (Deluxe) re-issue. Hopefully should make the Top 3.

Wonder if Kylie 25 year old album Impossible Princess can grab a top 10? Only a vinyl release but you never know

Taylor has released many signed stuff she's probably been locked in a a cellar for the last 6 months

crazy how many formats and singed stuff she's released... with no hint or even what style the album is gonna be, we don't even know if it's gonna be folklore part 3 or a return to pop or...

Think the Arctics should actually done the same, I actually cancelled my order x the Arctic after hearing the singles, cos thats not the sound I like from them, the last album was enough of that...

Arctics have done loads of live shows these past few months now, I doubt they care that much a few album sales that they won’t release/perform anything new.

voted Taylor x

refrained from voting initially since it was too early but at this point I'd be very surprised if she doesn't come out on top? All the different coloured CD/vinyl variants, streaming numbers will surely be huge, her team could easily drop another big batch of signed CDs at any moment

(the current poll results make me even more confident since buzzjack *always* underestimate the big pop artists for some reason)

I honestly don't know what to think.... we all predicted Red TV would sell no more than 35k and it debuted with double that

Taylor has never gone this hard with the number of variants, plus the presale code now if you pre order before the 21st, I honestly wouldn't be surprised either way. She's also releasing 2 music videos the week of release (one on the 21st, one on the 25th)

As many have mentioned though, even if she doesn't debut at No 1, I am fairly certain she will get it the following week

Yeah, ideally I'd like both to get the number one, so Arctics the first week and Taylor the next would be the perfect outcome.
Taylor. I think she'll take it easy with all the different variants, plus the signed cd & vinyls, but i think it'll be a big opening week for both TS and AM for sure

I approve of most crazy strategies to sell albums

but don't approve of the "clock" strategy x Taylor... so making fans buy 4 copies of the same album cos then you can put them on your wall and voila, it's a clock or something

Worth noting this poll opened when Mirrorball had just been released and debuted at #1 on Spotify. I think a lot of people would have voted differently now (myself included unfortunately, was hoping they'd get a week at #1 each).
