Yeah that's an even bigger recurring issue!

tbh, although a top 40 update on sundays would be more interesting, we get it on mondays anyway so i hope they stick to the usual format bc this really isnt working well lmao

If they did play the new entries, climbers and the songs at the top end for the hour (and included the positions!) then there is potential for this to be an improvement on what we had before! I don't see it happening though, it just sounds to me like they're seeing the chart aspect as being less important.

I suppose there isn't always an hour's worth of fresh music/climbers/NEs to play in the chart each week lol so sometimes they do need to play the older songs (plus it gives them a bit more freedom as to what they can play in Life Hacks, rather than "oh we can't play Crazy What Love Can Do cause we need to play it in First Look"), though skipping a new entry wasn't a good sign.

 

Missing out the numbers is making me irritated though x

The presenters don't decide which songs to play to be fair but they should be saying the positions of the songs they are playing.

yeha exactly, not every week has lots of new music, but its the fact that there is fresher music in the chart that they could play but instead they skip it and new entries and play songs like As It Was that have been in the chart for eons which is most irritating for me (as well as the skipping numbers too )

That's why I included "and the songs at the top end" in that, I would suggest they could play the top five in full for instance if they had time.

see i get them playing this because although its not the newest song, its cracking the top 20 for the first time and its climbing. what i don't get is them playing last last instead of the new entry

Exactly! Playing For My Hand in this update makes sense but why they played Last Last as well makes no sense to me.

That's why I included "and the songs at the top end" in that, I would suggest they could play the top five in full for instance if they had time.

 

or even the whole top 10 if its a really dead week for new music
