I would welcome a dancier album from Adele for a change and see how this style would suit her.

 

sorry it was meant to be a disco album but there were even rumours of a duet with beyonce but realistically i don't see there being a second album.

This is starting to sound like a collabs album, I see she has been taking a leaf out of Sir Elton's book to remain relevant, I bet he will be on a track. I noticed the timing of this comes very soon after Rihanna's comeback announcement as well.

 

Maybe it will be named for the number of artists involved rather than her age this time?

The Sun are reporting that Adele has recently been writing and recording new music, and is ‘in talks about dropping a surprise album later this year.’

Whilst that’d be great and warmly welcomed by me I just can’t see it. It’d be 2 years after 30 and that’d be her shortest gap between albums. I’m expecting 2024/25 honestly.

She has another leg of her Vegas residency from June-November. Would be great if she ended that with a new album coming out the week after her residency finished. She should do what Taylor did and announce the album in August with pre-orders up etc then release the album with no lead single beforehand. Wouldn't be surprised if she would do big numbers again doing that (possibly even doing 1 million+ in the US if the album is more streaming friendly/has 15+ tracks - although doubt it considering this is Adele we're talking about).

 

I do think the success of her Vegas residency has made her fall in love with music again/inspired her creative juices.

30 was recorded and ready to be released in 2020, but was delayed a year due to Covid. So it's been ~3 years since 30 was finished/ready for release. IIRC Adele was going to scrap 30 if she wasn't able to release it in 2021 due to covid again.

I thought that about 30, but also thought from a promotional point of view that was all still done in 2021/22 even if the album was ready for a 2020 release.

To be fair, the full promotional campaign didn't quite pan out due to the Vegas residency being cancelled/postponed. From memery Adele was meant to be going around the world doing concerts etc in different countries. She was due to dates in South America at the end of 2022 IIRC, but all that got changed/cancelled.
