Stormzy back to his peak on Spotify again already, looks like it should still be a decent hit for him then if not quite on the level of 'Vossi Bop' or 'Own It'. 'Bad Habit' back up to its peak once again as well, currently tough to see it cracking the top 3 but it keeps proving to outlast some of the songs that held it at #4 before!

 

Wow a huge jump for the sped up version of southstar there, could have 3 versions of the song in the top 100 tomorrow then. Very interesting that this is doing so well as usually these sped up/slowed versions don't really make much impact even when they are the versions that actually went viral. Great to see southstar also finally top 100 on Apple.

 

Just heard that Beach Weather track yesterday and I am quite a fan, gives me a little bit of a Glass Animals vibe. Hope that can go top 40!

Same, the Sunset Strippers version seemed so weak and paper-thin production-wise compared to the Cabin Crew version.

Sunset Strippers actually released a new version of Falling Stars just a few months ago! Although it's credited as Pink Panda & Sunset Strippers.

Blink are holding up pretty well on Spotify! Back up to #70 today.

 

Lots of good climbs for The 1975’s album tracks too, with ‘Oh Caroline’ up to #31.

Stormzy up to a new peak of #10 on Spotify now. And we do indeed have triple 'Miss You' in the top 100 now, southstar original dropping a place to #34 but the sped up version rises again to #84.

 

Several of Lil Baby's album tracks are also rebounding today along with The 1975's. Notably 'Forever' (feat. Fridayy) has had a huge climb to #63 and is now his second highest song (only 6 places below its debut position, when it entered as only his 7th highest). 'California Breeze' is his highest at #42, 'Real Spill' rounding out his top 3 dropping a place to #72.

Because it’s one of his better songs, typical!

Probably because the label hasn’t released 20 remixes of it as per the last few singles. Plus it seems like more of a promo single for Pokémon rather than a standard single as well perhaps.

 

Must admit, unholy is growing on me, one of the best songs sam smith has done since promises. I do wonder if Taylor could mount a decent challenge next week when the album drops, although I has anyone managed a no1 hit yet the same week as an album drop?

^ Yes, although the last song to debut at #1 on its parent album's release was Eminem and Juice WRLD's 'Godzilla' in Jan 2020, and before that, Ariana Grande's 'break up...' in Feb 2019.

I think Taylor could have had a good shot at finally getting another #1 if she'd just done a normal lead single release - which I really thought she was going to do after how far in advance she announced this album but apparently not - but if the last few albums are anything to go by idk if she's able to get enough streams concentrated on a single song in album release week to send it straight to #1. Wouldn't rule it out though.
