Wonder why she’s spending so much promo time in the usa for this album. Usa never happened for her in her 20s or 30s (forget Fever that was a one off), won’t certainly happen for her in her mid 50s. It’s another thing if PP had already cracked the chart in which case it makes sense (like Head had, in 2002 when she began usa promo). She’d better be repurposing that time in the UK or the continent

Padam is no12 in todays midweeks - it has fallen from yesterdays no10 position as I predicted and would be surprised if it returns to T10 unless the cassettes bundle makes a difference.

With the song higher on HHUK I'm hoping she'll climb on spotify a bit more throughout this week than last!

True but the music business itself isn't as lucractive now as everyone is streaming. And even her target market is so diverse and out of touch w 80s/90s divas it's really very little bang for a buck. A headline on NYC pride parade is one thing... but she's been doing interviews with radio channels in Houston, etc. She did extensively promote Aphrodite in US and Mexico and all, but that was after the UK promo was done. This is the first time I'm seeing her prioritise a well known iffy territory for her well established one.

I feel it is looking good for Kylie as the CapitalFM video has racked up a lot of hits already and my Youtube plays PP right after the live version.

There’s no wonder they’re doing a USA push. Despite it not charting (in the main charts), it gets the same amount of streams as in the UK, so it’s a very important market for them. I posted an article from Billboard that when it got to 10 on dance tracks chart, it got 1.5m streams in a week.

Yeah! Also if her US focus somehow leads to Padam Padam getting added to more US-centric streaming playlists, then that would be beneficial for it on a worldwide basis too.

Can't Get You Out of My Head performance wasn't shared by Capital FM's YouTube page, but here's a fan upload (I appreciate this is nothing to do with Padam Padam but I wasn't sure where else to share it lol) -

 

 

 

Padam Padam on Capital's page has 142k views now. #19 on Trending. It's way ahead of any of the other uploads, the second highest is Niall Horan - Heaven on 51k.

Yep it's all about those streaming numbers. She is getting 680k worldwide which is great but some get that and more in one country.

 

Get the radio deals, American TV deals also broadcast in lots of other countries ie. American Idol. Plus if there is a Vegas residency it tests the waters. To be fair all she has done is A. Idol and a show this weekend. Easy to do other stuff like small interviews + it's Pride month which is a big seller for her and also obviously her wine is a big target too. She is a business woman. I am sure she will be in UK more for the Album launch etc then Australia in-between even its there summer. I wouldn't be surprised if we see her perform in an Ibiza club one or two songs. Also if the rumoured feature on Friday does manifest itself this is also aimed at the gay clubs of the USA, but that maybe a false rumour

 

The more successful she is the more slots she is going to get. I still manifesting a Padam Padam cheering crowd at Glastonbury

Yep it's all about those streaming numbers. She is getting 680k worldwide which is great but some get that and more in one country.

To put that in the context, there are 4 Lady Gaga songs that get more daily streams without charting in any country. (Just saying that as an example because I don't really follow other artists' numbers that closely lol)

 

PP has so much room to grow we don't even understand it, and BMG should focus on that.
