Why the drop on Spotify? :(

I hope you are all doing well. I am so sorry for not responding much. I have just come away on my jolls to portugal.

 

Just sat on the beach with a voddy and lemonade.

 

So dissapointed to see a drop on spotify. I know its only a very small drop and its still up week on week. Maybe streams all around have been higher this Monday than last.

 

Eitherway, it is only one day! Hoping she can clinch top 20 at some point this week my huns.

I think it could get pushed down further on Spotify (whilst still maintaining good streams) - I’m sure a ton of Taylor tracks will climb rapidly this week following on from the UK tour announcement, plus loads of AM songs are just behind who are also on a huge UK tour now.

Hopefully that radio playlisting is the first sign of great things to come in the US!

Would be intereating to know if theres more ARC tracks ahead of her this week than last week. Because although shes 26, she may have more acr tracks a head.

 

Anyway, its not the end of the world for one day. As long as streams are up week on week and as long as the songs a head are arc or not a threat as they may be further behind on offixial midweeks or too far a head on official midqeeks to catch anyway.

I think we all know top 10 is guaranteed.

 

I can't speak for everyone but I'm tracking to see if it's peaking on streaming or if it's continuing to rise. Falling on a random weekday like this often hints that climbing could be slowing down, although it could always just be a blip, and I have a feeling Hot Hits UK will move it into their top 10 soon. I'm going to predict that it will reach it's ultimate Spotify peak this coming weekend, but then will stay top 10/15 officially for a few weeks afterwards.

Looking at this data and the balance of sales versus streams, this is my projection for the end of the week, with overall sales figures, compared with Kylie.

#9 Hannah Laing (-1,400)

Looking at this, Jazzy should be way ahead at #4; and the gap between the top 10 and Leigh-Anne/Loreen will also be massive. So with or without record company intervention, Kylie should be between 5 and 10.

 

Unless something unexpected happens, I cannot see Kylie catching Rudimental.

 

Things will be neck and neck between Kylie and Switch Disco. I think, because of being ahead on Spotify, they will pip Kylie to the number 7 position - but that still means that Kylie will climb, and therefore I don’t think BMG will get involved.

 

I think Kylie is pulling enough ahead of Rema that Rema can’t catch up now.

 

Hannah Laing is currently a long way behind Kylie, but depending on how their momentum develops, could possibly catch up. That said, she only caught up by 15 sales yesterday.

 

 

So I’m going to go for 7 or 8 - but leaning towards 8.
