Hopefully BMG will learn from their mistakes this era (there’s been a lot)

In general, I do wish Kylie would go back to a major label.

Yes, BMG were great for Golden and DISCO and re-establishing Kylie in the charts but a major label could’ve handled this era so much better. BMG don’t really know what to do when they’ve got a hit on their hands. Vegas really messed this era up too, it stopped Kylie from going full-force with promo in the UK. Which is just silly when this is by far her biggest market

Love that a 2024 Kylie release has achieved that - in the streaming era I never thought we’d see that in the UK or US.

It was definitely something I'll never forget/never quite believe was actually real!

It’s all a bit :nocheer: after such a great start with the first 2 singles.

I knew Vegas would get in the way but BMG could/should have done better but I guess this is the first time they’ve made a few missteps.

To be honest I’d say BMG were doing a very good job up until the album release? It’s after that we got a messy schedule for Hold On To Now physicals, Extension chart mess, premature releases etc. it feels like something has changed in BMG in around October and not to the better.

Don't forget the bonus Edition Spotify release for a few hours lol......

BMG have had a restructure, streaming distributions etc

Mostly but there were some things like the Padam Padam vinyls and the album coming so long after Padam when most of the hype had gone that they could have and should have handled better

These lists are definitely helping Padam pick up extra streams.

Padam Padam still 21 on itunes so collecting another 100+ downloads this week and quite a few more streaming.

Now well over 100,000,000 on Spotify when you add all versions together

Grindr ( -_- ) has put PP as it’s too single of the year and Tension as it’s too album,

I had no idea that was even a thing, but I think their audience will appreciate this.

Padam is picking up streams nicely despite the Christmas takeover so I really hope it has a further boost post Boxing Day.

Looks as though it’ll pass 100,000,000 Spotify streams once the streams from the 23rd December are added.

Am I right in thinking 100m is considered a really significant milestone in Spotify streams terms?

It's a really cute achievement for someone like Kylie for sure.

As SmileyK says, a very good sign of a crossover hit in the space of 7 months, especially for an older artist.
