I know we have no details and it’s all just rumours but it almost feels too soon to be talking about new music.

BMG successfully prolonged ‘Disco’ far outside of week 1 that it feels as if it’s only just ended and with the upcoming IP release my bank account needs to recover before we get 20 vinyl variants of a new release and a tour announcement to hopefully go with it

Love that a 2024 Kylie release has achieved that - in the streaming era I never thought we’d see that in the UK or US.

It was definitely something I'll never forget/never quite believe was actually real!

With such an avid collector like you I understand the financial burden plus you have some physical singles in the mix aswell.

I'm always excited for new music but what makes the new music even more exciting is it means we have a tour which I'm excited for as along with some hits and new music the disco singles should also make it on the tour so this tour has that something extra/different on offer.

It's gonna be harder for an act like Kylie to have to have longevity in the album chart the more dominant streaming becomes, the fact Golden had a longer run is probably more symbolic of how vastly different the climate was 3 years previously.

Disco’s streaming figures were far higher than golden though. I think it’s something BMG are aware of and have been trying to promote her via streaming platforms.

I think BMG growth is continuing and they may get more influential in Streaming Platforms so you never know

I know, but it's never gonna be enough in terms of competing with other albums in the album chart.

She beat Little Mix to no1 with Disco and her last couple of albums have sold consistently.

I think in the case of Disco, streaming did help her maintain No.1 lead over Little Mix, however small a role it played.

TheHeadlessPostman, an insider (who has joined BuzzJack, hello and welcome!) who has heard the first single said on SayHey that it’s “euphoric” and “beyond amazing”! Also that it’s co-written by Kylie. “Very Kylie but still with progression”. To be expected very early in 2023.

Not long to go! :w00t:

That description reminds me of 'Say Something' in the sense that it felt very much like a Kylie song but it's lack of big chorus made it slightly more unique. It turned out to be one of my favourite Kylie singles so here's hoping for another 11/10!

Also praying for a Friday release this time! :kink:

From The Sun:

KYLIE MINOGUE will be giving herself a huge workload as a birthday present this year when she launches a comeback just days before turning 55.

I can reveal the Aussie singer is to unveil the lead single from her 16th studio album later this month, ahead of her big day on May 28.

She has worked on the track with top producer Lost Boy, who has previously worked his magic on hits for Ellie Goulding, Becky Hill and Mimi Webb.

Rather it be the week of her birthday, get all those Eurovision streaming songs out the way!

I am guessing 26th May would be perfect. Friday. But will probably be a midweek release lol

The Sun are usually annoyingly accurate when it comes to entertainment stuff like this, so it looks like I've got something to look forward to this month! :cheer:

The article says "just days before her birthday", so 26th May the likely release date? (or perhaps not the Friday knowing them)

"launches a comeback"

Not sure she's been "away" long enough to call it a "comeback".

This  I feel like they’ve only just stopped issuing the endless Disco vinyl variants
