From her Instagram looks like she could be doing some Amazon music promo

 

I'm hoping PP if it stays top 40 this week can remain top 40 next week with something gimmicky to download to cover this week's cassette sales. Streaming looks consistent and promo will increase

Glad it stayed Top 40! Fingers crossed we’ll get to know the sales from SayHey. Music Week didn’t give them, not even songs close by her. I was hoping the cassette sales would maybe prompt a mention in Music Week but sadly not. :(

Yes she was number 2 of Physicals chart, Aphex Twin sold 869 CDs and 3437 vinyls and number 1.

 

12 on Download chart, that must be the first week out of the top 10.

 

 

39 on acr is great, very happy with an 11th week top 40. Amazing padam padam stays top 40 on acr and many of her recent singles couldn't make the 100 without been on acr, padam really has been the huge surprise hit.

Am i allowed to hope that Streaming may increase a tiny bit this week?

Now only 7 weeks until Tension is released. I think Kylie will return to UK/Europe soon after the Residency tickets go on sale and more promo announced.

 

Am wondering what she has been doing at Amazon Music on Instagram?? Do Amazon do special stuff with Artists/Songs etc?

We must once again say great job BMG! I never imagined I'd be on a Kylie thread in 2023 that's spanned 242 pages! I hope this at least reaches 250...another record for Kylie. lol

Only 5 other Kylie singles have lasted longer than 11 weeks in the top 40

 

Head / Wow / Lucky / Higher / Especially For You

Well done to Kylie for managing top 40 on ACR. Of course helped by the cassettes as she wouldn't be there without them but great effort and besides 16-39 is a standard ACR drop for many songs so no shame in that really.

Head / Wow / Lucky / Higher / Especially For You

 

I would like to think that Padam might be able to surpass Especially For You (12 weeks) and tie with I Should Be So Lucky and Higher (13 weeks).

 

Week 12 in the top 40 will come with the album release, and week 13 (although much less likely) the week after that.

 

Wow is at 15 weeks, that's going to be quite hard to beat, and Head's 20 weeks seems more or less impossible to get to.

I don't think anyone is thinking PP to go back top 10, the the album and promo leading up to it should give it a little bit more longevity and some more sales towards that year end target. I guess it depends if it can stay on some Playlists etc on streaming platforms in the next 7 weeks also.

 

I am sure we can come up with a streaming campaign for PP/Remixes on album release week :)

The difference is ‘Unhealthy’ was already going down quite fast from the peak of its popularity, and the album release made the drop milder. By the time of the album release ‘Padam’ will be mainly generating passive streams and be stable. Also worth mentioning that Anne-Marie’s album got less streaming sales (2,825) right now than DISCO three years ago (3,040), despite the inclusion of even ‘Baby Don’t Hurt Me’ — people on streaming platforms just weren’t interested enough in her album.

 

That said, I agree that we shouldn’t necessarily wait for a huge climb for PP on streaming, unless single 2 takes off too and generates big interest for the whole album. Will be exciting to watch how it’s going to go!
