Padam is on almost 168 million streams. The single peaked at No.8 in the UK and has 555,230 chart sales to date.

 

Padam is on 168m streams worldwide on Spotify according to kworb so if she has 168m in the UK over all platforms then it must have done so much more on Apple in the UK.

 

Is that usual does anyone know? Apple has the bigger chunk of the Uk market?

Or Kylie fans are more likely to be on Apple?

^^ Apple were really strong with their support for Tension in general - they were the first to get behind PP and place it high on playlists etc

It is practically impossible to know how the streaming numbers of individual songs accumulate from different platforms because only Spotify reveals its figures.

 

However, the market share (subscribers) is as follows (in 2022) according to Statista:

Spotify 47%

Amazon 18%

Apple Music 17%

Youtube Music 12%

 

But, people who use Apple Music might be more dedicated music listeners than those who use Youtube Music or Amazon so it's pretty much impossible to tell what is the impact of each platform in each case. Also, all streams from AM are paid streams because you cannot use it for free.

That's a low enough peak on Spotify considering how well it done elsewhere, had it got more Spotify support it would have went top 5.

Padam padam did suffer a little when top 10 as sales in general at the time were high.
