I’m with Jay, I’m not sure it’s a good idea to release the CDs just yet. It is likely to climb more on week 4.

But I guess they want to secure that top-20 while it is for sure within the reach.

Love that a 2024 Kylie release has achieved that - in the streaming era I never thought we’d see that in the UK or US.

It was definitely something I'll never forget/never quite believe was actually real!

I do wonder if there is something else to drop (physicals wise) hence why they have gone with the CD singles now?

Just got my dispatch for my copies -

Wonder if some of these CDs will be reported into this weeks chart? Could mean top 20 tomorrow. Ooooh the suspense.

It’s strange that the media seem to be all over the fact Kylie’s got a new song out - all the Lorraine segments and the Daily Mail articles that pop up nearly every day - but I’m here for it!

I dont like 90s pop princess referenc , she has been a princess for other decades but that aside its nice to see her get the attention.
I wonder if it’ll sneak into the top 50 tomororw on Spotify? (It’ll probably be kicked out over the weekend unless it’s moved drastically higher on HHUK)

I feel there's more chance for it to get top-50 on Friday, despite it being a new releases day. As of yesterday, the difference between Padam Padam and #50 is 9,365 streams. The day before it was 15,155 streams, so she gained 6k to reach top-50, which is quite not enough if the gain is the same. So if she gains the same amount, today she will be at like #52 to our annoyance.

And last Friday she registered the highest amount of streams, possibly due to the inclusion in some party playlists. There are no big releases of what I know, so it might be the window where she can sneak in.

#1 on Massive Dance Hits (has this been mentioned already? Last I saw she was #6 on this playlist). She is also the cover.
Taylor's 'Snow On the Beach' is one place ahead of her and not that far (and has been in freefall all week), surely she should at least move ahead of that on Friday's chart?

It's bad researching, isn't it? Especially because the 90s was the one decade where she was arguably less prominent.

All in all that's a good report though, it almost makes it feel like she's revolutionising the music industry and truly achieving something unprecedented and not done before (in the modern era at least)

I didn’t expect Hot Hits to move it down rather than up.

I don’t think so - it’s normal for new releases to ship the day before release and then reported to the OCC on the day of release.

Would be a nice surprise though if they have put some through and push her to #20 tomorrow

That's disappointing, but at least it's only two places.

What's it gonna take for them to move her back up?

I feel 'Snow on the Beach' will be replaced by 'Anti-Hero', which is far more stable and may still be above PP even on ACR.

I don't get why she's moving down, even slightly, on HH, since it rose 108-57 since its inclusion so far?

Hot Hits is a weird one - you have songs like Mimi Web’s ‘Red Flags’ still at #21 despite no longer being in the Top 100, the same for Mae Stephens who is at #9 yet well past her peak position in the charts.

I know it’s always referred to and laughed about in the main forum but there is definitely some record company/payola involvement.
