Reminder: first 5 episodes dropped today!

Who we thinking then?

My best guess is Quaylyn or Neesh. I reckon the former is playing the ultimate double bluff although they were suspiciously absent from the 'coming soon' bit so I could be completely wrong :D

I don’t know if it’s too obvious but I feel like Hannah could be? Being so blatant about not caring if the pot goes down and plenty missions to build it back up seems a perfect rouse.

I think she's too obvious, same with Michael. Plus not sure the producers would have sanctioned The Mole having a relationship with one of the contestants. I'm working off the proviso that The Mole is some form of actor.

I loved loved loved the first few episodes minus that strange relationship with Hannah and Tony. This isn’t Love Island

Hannah would be the biggest WTF Mole and I’m here for it. Muna would be a FANTASTIC Traitor, but a bit too obvious perhaps?

My money is on Ryan at this point. I really, really hope it’s not Q and he’s gone soon.

Next batch of episodes out. Hilarious. But I still have no idea who the Mole is. They all seem to be terrible at adding money to the pot. I’m still leaning towards Ryan, but.. like… do something already!?!

Yeah I think Ryan is the most likely at this point given they never really seem to have her doing confessionals either and she doesn’t directly point blame at anyone. The only time she’s really gunned for someone was Michael in the bomb mission.

I’ll be disappointed if it ends up being someone like Sean.

Also that whole twist with bringing Q back was literally the most pointless thing ever. I’d rather they just cut the episodes to a shorter runtime than concocting that for… what? Then he was gone again just like that :drama:

The did the same thing last season with getting a contestant back.. I genuinely thought it was a double cross and he was the Mole

At this point, I can't really see past Ryan. I'd be disappointed if it is here as she's getting the same edit as the Mole in Season 1

I was about to say I'm surprised none of the contestants across both seasons have ever suspected the mole could deliberately tank the quiz and get sent home for them to then be brought back later, but I guess if the producers ever did decide to do that they'd want it to be kept watertight under wraps.

The disappointment is real.

Thinking back to the reveal of Kesi being the mole at the end of season 1, I honestly felt nothing similar when Sean stepped forward at the end. A predictable double bluff with his deliberate sabotages to make it seem like he was a player just trying to stay in and have other people guess incorrectly in the quiz.

Gutted for Muna (and Hannah, but I guess she was barking up the wrong tree), because I wouldn't exactly say Michael was a deserving winner. :drama: His gameplay throughout the season was just so bad, and he was really unlikable throughout a lot of the missions. Being the genuine article of what Sean as the mole was trying to be, but being so awful at contributing to the pot.

Hmmmmm. So it was one of the two I thought, and when Ryan left straight away I knew it was definitely Sean...

I wanted Muna to win so I'm sad at the winner. What bugs me the most about it is that I think Michael had an unfair advantage from the moment that Sean deliberately sabotaged at a moment when he knew Michael (and only Michael) was watching him in the hotel guest task. That inevitably meant that Michael could pay more attention to him and remember the facts about him etc that ultimately meant that he won.

I genuinely had no idea who it was between Sean and Michael at the end after Ryan got voted out. Thought Michael played a good game, although I also thought Muna would have been a worthy winner. Was hoping they would ask Michael some questions about why he decided to self sabotage so much and when he twigged Sean was the mole.

I belatedly finished watching it just now, have been avoiding this thread for ages

Feel like US Mole needs to work better with the editing to make it properly suspenseful. They do so many tricks that unravel themselves once you're used to them. Wish I could remember better what happened in season 1, but they went this whole season never eliminating the first person called after the quiz (or have it be the very last person, I think). I'm used to the possibility on Australian & Dutch Mole where they're called in a genuinely random order and it's way better for the viewer, even if it can muck with the pacing. They also just can't help putting in countdown timers at the end of challenges to show that they barely got through in time, but the host & contestants never seem to relay it so it just seems deliberately fake and just tells you the challenge is about to end, but that they were never in danger of running out of time.

The confessionals is the biggest problem though I think. I was kinda geared towards Ryan & Sean by process of elimination halfway in (though I thought if it was Ryan, she's really bad at lying and strategising with the fortune cookie challenge), because they spent the whole season showing and telling us that Michael is purposely sabotaging, and Muna only stopped doing it when she figured out who the Mole was and realised she should be getting some more money. Hannah was so confident that she was always going to lose a quiz, and then all you've got left is Sean blending into the background. They only gave up the conceit on the last episode because they both knew it and Muna kept saying 'Sean is the Mole' so many times they couldn't get around it, so they had to can it quickly and put more suspense on who won

But I think the biggest problem they've got is that they need to axe these possibilities to drain the entire pot. They did it twice this season, and all I can think of from a Mole perspective is that Sean knows what challenges are coming up, he knows the Prisoner's Dilemma and the way people act. He should be working his butt off in the early challenges to succeed and look like a hero because at the end of the day, all that money is probably gonna be lost anyway. It's a classic Mole strategy of not sabotaging, but putting in work where the net result goes nowhere. And as a viewer, if you know the Mole knows this is gonna happen, then there's no point in speculating because your suspicions, like the money, basically have to be reset. I wanna be double, triple, quadruple bluffed and go away from the last episode thinking I've been played. It's all very professionally edited, slick and fun to watch, but as a game it falls a little short.
