October 12, 20222 yr Tbh I don't think the vocals really sound that different, poor Oliver Tree catching the flack for the actual original vocals of the song :kink:
October 14, 20222 yr the unnecessary speed up version of Southstar' Miss You, hurts my ears -_- 2skYDGkSVD0
October 14, 20222 yr I'm here for Oliver Tree having another hit but I hate what Robin Schulz (or his management) did. In ideal world we would have a Southstar feat. Oliver Tree verison
October 16, 20222 yr How anyone enjoys this is beyond me lmao, the vocals are awful and the production dated/tinny - each to their own I guess.
October 16, 20222 yr Good CHRIST these vocals :puke2: pity as the production itself is rather good, although sounds absolutely nothing like Robin Schulz. Just an odd creation all round.
October 16, 20222 yr Has this been shared? How does Robin Schulz get away with essentially stealing another person's production? Why doesn't southstar take him to court?
October 16, 20222 yr Agreed regarding the situation of southstar, I'm sure people have taken to court for much less in regards to music/copying. This is outright plagiarism? He shouldn't be able to get away with it.
October 16, 20222 yr southstar's version was Hottest Record on Radio 1 last night *.* I'd love for R1 to pick up southstar and snub Robin Schulz just to go against the grain. The Sped Up version is the one I'm seeing a lot on TikTok atm.
October 16, 20222 yr The production is cleaner on the Schulz version but that's literally the ONLY upside to me (beyond Oliver Tree getting a credit for what was initially his song, I guess?). The vocal is less grating on the southstar version so even beyond moral reasons, that's very much my preferred pick.
October 16, 20222 yr How anyone enjoys this is beyond me lmao, the vocals are awful and the production dated/tinny - each to their own I guess. THIS. It's absolutely appalling :drama:
October 16, 20222 yr Good CHRIST these vocals :puke2: pity as the production itself is rather good, although sounds absolutely nothing like Robin Schulz. Just an odd creation all round. Almost as if it, very famously, isn't Robin Schulz :kink: Good to see southstar clarifying that he didn't actually sell the song to Robin, I really don't know how he's allowed to get away with this.
October 16, 20222 yr Robin's team did release a statement on it a few months ago, translated it says: For more than 20 years we navigated fairly and with great respect for all Artists and their creative work. Sometimes we are suprised by the boldness of other Artists to Ignore Others Rights and creations and capitalize on that. The Irritation because of 'Miss you' was intentional and decided by myself without Robins permission. Robin had hoped for a remix in cooperation until last Friday.'
October 16, 20222 yr "Sometimes we are suprised by the boldness of other Artists to Ignore Others Rights and creations and capitalize on that." But that's exactly what they've done?
October 16, 20222 yr Heard the Oliver Tree version on the Big Top 40 earlier and the vocals sounds worse every time. At least on the southstar version they are a bit more bearable which is the best version anyway. They need to swap the charting ones around somehow. Edited October 16, 20222 yr by The Robageist
October 17, 20222 yr Having read the backstory and listening to all the versions I actually like the original Jerk, better than Life Goes On definitely. Then the southstar version I prefer to the 'Robin Schulz' version. But I'm sure they played another version on the chart show? It was basically the Schulz version that I've just played on Spotify but the vocals had been tampered with yet again, this was the worst version of all of them. What a complete and utter mess... (and version doesn't like a word anymore) Edited October 17, 20222 yr by Dobbo.
