October 25, 20222 yr Wow at Boom, Boom, Boom, Boom, the enduring classic I never expected from 1999. Good for Celine to have a few streaming hits too.
October 25, 20222 yr i appreciate the need for context but quite a few of this presenters explanations for certain songs being in the chart are fairy laughable just now, I’ll Be Missing You is supposedly here because BTS did a cover of it last year…
October 25, 20222 yr I thought the same  it won't have just magically appeared in here cause of BTS  'Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For' & 'November Rain' two more classic songs <3 Edited October 25, 20222 yr by The Robageist
October 25, 20222 yr RATM announced as "Race Against The Machine" oops (only a small clip played as you might expect). Not sure how Phil Collins' cover of YCHL got there? November Rain getting an abridged play.

October 25, 20222 yr Was Billy Ocean one of those, I switched off in an ad break, but came back and that one was finishing with the next song straight after, but it could have been an advert?
October 25, 20222 yr Cool - which song and where does it slot in? Edit: got it from the website playlist! Edited October 25, 20222 yr by Ghoul Jules

October 25, 20222 yr https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m001dyq4 Radio 2 are doing this for the 1950s Presumably we’ll get a 1960s programme later… ooh now that would be interesting! The 50's has never been done as a complete rundown of its own, for sales or anything, so this might well throw up some unusual results. Elvis obv to dominate, maybe Buddy Holly, Cliff, Everly's and some Chuck Berry and Little Richard, but I'd love to see Mr Sandman, Sleepwalk, and lesser known stuff in it. Doris Day Secret Love and some movie classics too.
October 25, 20222 yr well I make 29 number ones in my personal charts out of 120. Ooh call it 1 in 4. That said 6 on the list have never made my chart, though one of them topped my chart for Scissor Sisters. That's a shock! I blame Disney movies popularity for some of it... :D Some are just mystifying to me: Savage Garden, Vengaboys to name but 2... :o
October 25, 20222 yr Aside from plenty of classics whose place on here is less surprising, happy to see appearances here for 'Scar Tissue' (my favourite RHCP song) and 'Romeo And Juliet' from today's crop.
October 25, 20222 yr There Is A Light That Never Goes Out would be my highlight from today, glad that made it.
