November 3, 20222 yr Author Anyway, besides the drama, this is our first UK makeover episode since season 1 (which incredibly was only 3 years ago! feels a lot longer)
November 3, 20222 yr Love to see this episode reward the people behind the stage! Totally agree with the win being Cheddar Gorgeous. The look is beautiful and both of them complemented each other well. Unfortunately, I don't think the other 5 combos were strong sadly and I think each of them has an argument of being in the bottom. I'm not entirely sure whether I agree with the bottom 2 and seeing Dakota Schiffer going is really sad. The lip sync wasn't giving this week for some reason, maybe because of song choice.
November 3, 20222 yr I would actually have put Jonbers or Peppa in the bottom with Pixie, I think with that song Jonbers probably would have won but ofc we wouldn’t know. Neither of them really had their signature look or style involved in the way that the others did, Peppa’s was a real step down from everything she has shown for the rest of the season although I really liked the idea. I don’t disagree with pixie being in the bottom as such as her partner looked awful but I thought her idea was great and at least there was a resemblance based on her signature style, but the makeup on her partner was pretty unforgivable :lol: I’m just so sad at that elimination, I don’t think Dakota deserved bottom at all. The criticism of her looks being a bit same is valid but I think in a family resemblance makeover, of course you’d use your signature look, I think it’s the wrong challenge to bring it up and use it as justification for a bottom placement when really she didn’t do anything else wrong.
November 3, 20222 yr Author Well, there goes my favourite queen and the last chance of any tension this series. Danny was robbed for this win too. Cheddar is just taking the Gottmik route of bringing fabulously expensive costumes that no-one else can match imo. Dakota had my second favourite look this ep. I don't think any of Pixie, Peppa or Jonbers have showed anything that would make them deserving of winning the season. Dakota had moments however.

November 3, 20222 yr I quite liked the episode in general, and thought Dakota’s look was nice but the gloves did clash quite badly and she was worse in the lipsync so *shrug*. I think Cheddar hands down won the makeover and Danny & Jonbers were ok.
November 4, 20222 yr Dakota :cry: I didn’t understand the critique of her look - I thought the combination of her signature style & going for family resemblance were both on point. Like, she hit the brief. Was that truly the moment for her to do something different? I really don’t agree with that from Michelle. For instance that criticism wasn’t levelled at Cheddar whose looks are mostly in keeping with her brand, as was her family resemblance look. Confusing and inconsistent judging~ The song was indeed a bit meh however I felt like it allowed for quite an elegant lip sync from Dakota. I was drawn more to what she was doing than Pixie. Dakota was my favourite remaining so I’m definitely sad about this & I just don’t have the same investment in the remaining queens. I’ll be honest, I don’t think Pixie should have made it this far, and with every episode I like her less. Jonbers is lovely but I’m shocked she’s still here and outlasted Dakota, who is a much more fully realised queen than she is. For the win, I’m guessing this’ll be a Danny vs Cheddar outcome, with an outside chance of Black Peppa (who I feel has been quite lucky to survive a few moments that exposed weaknesses).

If you’re making over someone else, of course you are going to do your own style there, what you know best, otherwise they won’t look like you as part of your family! Cheddar and Danny were the clear tops but I thought Dakota was right behind as those three all had recognisable traits of themselves in their makeover. It’s absolutely fine if they thought the look was more on the basic side or whatever, it wasn’t mind-blowingly amazing or anything like that, but I think basically “it was too much like your usual style” in a makeover is entirely the wrong thing to criticise on. To me it just felt like, paired with her being overlooked for Snatch Game, they just kind of cast Dakota as filler and didn’t expect her to do so well, so they just ran with it and put her in the bottom now and didn’t really care if she went.
